About the role
Globalpundits is hiring a Network Engineer for a multi-year technology program with a client in the regulated energy sector. You'll independently design, implement and maintain network infrastructure for the team's environment, covering connectivity, performance and security of network systems.
What you'll do
• Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure with limited supervision
• Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately to highly complex connectivity and performance issues
• Implement and maintain network security controls, segmentation and access policies
• Monitor network performance and capacity, and recommend improvements
• Lead specific network tasks or workstreams and guide junior engineers
What we're looking for
• 4–8 years of experience administering enterprise or plant-floor network infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPN and wireless technologies (for example Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN and security layers
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification preferred; CCNP is a plus
• Experience with network monitoring tools and change management
