Job description

✅ Proven ability to lead visual direction across integrated campaigns. ✅ Strong presentation and storytelling skills in client-facing settings. ✅ High standards for craft, detail, and execution. ✅ A collaborative mindset and active contribution to agency culture and creative excellence. We are Gupta Media. For the past 25 years, we’ve driven performance marketing for the biggest brands in the world — Disney, Amazon, and Fender, to name a few. We need a Creative Director. We need that exceptional mix of visual craft and strategic business acumen: a design-first leader rooted in art direction and visual storytelling, able to elevate brands, resonate with audiences, and ultimately drive significant, measurable outcomes. In this role, you will shape and elevate the visual standard of Gupta’s creative output, defining how brands look, feel, and show up in culture. You’ll lead the art direction across campaigns, mentor designers and art directors, and partner closely with copy, media, and strategy to ensure the work is both visually breakthrough and performance-driven. You are… … A natively digital creative leader who sets and elevates the visual standard across all work—owning art direction, brand systems, and campaign aesthetics from concept through execution that connect and engage with audiences across platforms, devices, and environments; … A prolific director with a track record of leading projects from concept to completion, mentoring and cultivating professional skills to consistently exceed a client’s expectations; … A confident creative strategist and presenter who clearly articulates design rationale, connects creative choices to business outcomes, and inspires both clients and internal teams. … An inspiring mentor and culture driver who develops designers and art directors, fosters innovation, and consistently raises the bar for craft, quality, and creative excellence. Your background and qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the creative field, preferably in an agency setting, with at least 5 years leading and mentoring art and design teams. A robust portfolio showcasing exceptional art direction, brand systems, and digital/social campaigns. Deep expertise in visual design, typography, layout, motion principles, and platform-specific creative execution. Proven ability to lead visual direction across integrated campaigns. High standards for craft, detail, and execution. A collaborative mindset and active contribution to agency culture and creative excellence. Strong presentation and storytelling skills in client-facing settings. A bit more about us: Gupta Media was founded 25 years ago on the idea that advertising could create huge leverage in our clients' businesses. Our work initially focused on the entertainment industry, specifically live events and recorded music (SXSW, Sony Music, Universal Music, and Disney Music Group are all clients). We have grown to include global brands (Amazon, Fender, Sophia Learning), major sports franchises (Florida Panthers, Washington Commanders, Boston Legacy FC, Cleveland Cavaliers, Women’s Tennis Association), as well as public sector institutions (City of Boston, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, and Mass Lottery). Work Environment Gupta Media is an office-first organization. Our Commitment At Gupta Media, we work hard every day to be better at all that we do — and that includes fostering a diverse and inclusive community that encourages and respects a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. Compensation At Gupta Media, base salary is one component of our total compensation and benefits package. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $130,000 - $150,000, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan, which is based on the company's performance. We offer a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and pet insurance; Flexible and Dependent Care Savings Accounts; a 401(k) with up to 5% Safe Harbor contributions; paid time off; paid family leave; commuting and wellness stipends; and opportunities for professional development and career growth. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for at least 3 years. To apply, please submit a resume, your portfolio, and a quick note sharing your interest.
