Job description

At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before. Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen. ROLE OVERVIEW: We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us hire the world-class talent that will bring our Seagliders into reality. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering and operations leaders to source, engage, and close top-tier candidates across a range of technical functions. This is a high-impact role that combines strategy, execution, and storytelling - and it's a unique opportunity to join a mission-driven company at a pivotal stage of growth. As part of the People team, you’ll join a group of thoughtful, driven, and collaborative builders who approach People work with the same rigor and creativity as a product team. We move quickly, think intentionally, and take pride in crafting systems, experiences, and processes that truly support the people behind our mission. If you’re energized by scaling organizations, solving complex human challenges, and helping teams thrive in high-growth environments - you’ll be in the right place, and we’d be excited to have you on the team. Note: Our preference is for someone based in the Rhode Island area or willing to relocate. We'll also consider exceptional remote candidates who can travel regularly to our Rhode Island headquarters, recruiting events, career fairs, and other hiring activities. 🔧 WHAT YOU’LL DO - Partner closely with hiring managers to define what great looks like, shape hiring strategies, and build exceptional teams across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and beyond. - Own full-cycle recruiting for a wide range of critical roles - from technical specialists and manufacturing talent to business and leadership positions - as REGENT continues to grow. - Build proactive talent pipelines through creative sourcing, referrals, networking, events, and relationship-building with exceptional candidates. - Lead candidates through every stage of the hiring process, providing thoughtful guidance, timely communication, and an experience that reflects who we are as a company. - Use data, market insights, and candidate feedback to influence hiring decisions, improve search strategies, and help teams make better hiring decisions. - Continuously improve how we hire by experimenting with new tools, refining our processes, strengthening our employer brand, and raising the bar for candidate experience 🔍 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You're energized by ambitious hiring challenges. At REGENT, no two searches are the same. One week you might be hiring an aerospace engineer, the next a manufacturing technician, software team leader, or another critical role. You love learning quickly, figuring out what great looks like, and finding the right person. - You know the best candidates rarely come to you. You're exceptional at finding, engaging, and building relationships with hard-to-reach talent, using creativity, persistence, and every tool available to solve the problem. - You thrive in fast-moving environments. You've recruited end-to-end at a startup, growth-stage company, or similarly dynamic organization, and you're comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities. - You believe recruiting is built on relationships. Whether you're partnering with a hiring manager, guiding a candidate, or collaborating with a teammate, you communicate openly, build trust quickly, and leave people with a great experience. - You take ownership. You move with urgency, solve problems proactively, and find a way forward when the path isn't obvious. - You care deeply about people. You know every hire changes a team, every conversation shapes a candidate's experience, and every search is an opportunity to build something exceptional. - You're excited to build, not just maintain. You want to help shape how we hire as we grow, contribute ideas, experiment with new approaches, and leave our recruiting function stronger than you found it. - You're excited to be part of the team. Our preference is for someone based in the Rhode Island area or willing to relocate. We'll also consider exceptional remote candidates who can travel regularly to our Rhode Island headquarters, recruiting events, career fairs, and other hiring activities. 🚀 HOW YOU WORK - 🤝 You influence without authority. The best recruiters don't just fill roles - they shape decisions. You know how to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions respectfully, and help hiring teams make better hiring decisions. - 🧠 You balance data with judgment. You use recruiting metrics to inform your decisions, but you also know hiring is about people. You combine data, market insights, and experience to make sound recommendations. - 🌱 You're always learning. You stay curious about recruiting, technology, and the industries we hire for. Whether it's a new sourcing strategy, AI tool, or engineering discipline, you're excited to learn and continuously improve. - 🚀 You make the team better. You don't just focus on your own searches. You share ideas, improve processes, help teammates, and leave the recruiting function stronger than you found it. 🌟 WHAT WE OFFER: - Competitive compensation including a robust equity incentive plan to reward your contributions to our success - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - we cover 100% of your premiums (including dependents!) - 401(k) with company matching, so you can plan for the future - Generous flexible time off, paid parental leave, and company-wide holiday breaks - Relocation packages available for those moving to join our team - Daily, free catered lunches - Learning & professional development opportunities with the chance to make a direct impact on the company’s growth and success If you’re ready to take on an exciting challenge, grow with us, and make a lasting impact, we want to hear from you. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, but you see yourself contributing to our mission, we encourage you to apply! We value diverse skillsets and experiences and believe in the potential of passionate individuals to make a big impact. Equal Opportunity Employer REGENT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
