Job description
Who We Are
America is reindustrializing. New plants, new energy projects, supply chains coming back onshore. All of it runs on people, and the companies building it cannot hire fast enough. That is the problem Achilles solves.
Achilles is an applied AI company building agents for the teams that hire the frontline workforce. Our agent, Sam, owns the hiring pipeline end to end: sourcing candidates, running multilingual voice and text interviews, building real resumes from what candidates actually say, and scheduling final interviews with hiring managers. No human touches the process until a qualified candidate is on the calendar.
We work with the core companies across the industrial ecosystem, including some of the largest manufacturers in the country. They use Achilles one of two ways: run the platform themselves, or hand the entire hiring process to us through AI Native Recruiting Services, where Achilles operates as their recruiting team. We are at 7 figures in ARR, we have doubled every quarter, and we are on track to double again by end of year. The services line is closing deals in days and weeks instead of months, at 5x the ACV.
Our Culture
Everything we do runs on six tenets:
1. Customer First. Obsess over solving real problems.
2. High Velocity, High Quality. Move fast and raise the bar every time.
3. Best Idea Wins. Check egos. Data and creativity decide.
4. We Play to Win. Compete hard for our customers, our company, and each other.
5. The Hard Is What Makes It Great. Hard problems are why we are here.
6. Extreme Ownership. Own the whole outcome. No excuses.
If that list reads like a description of you, keep going.
Why This Role
- A real process. Two years of founder-led sales built this engine: a tight ICP, talk tracks that land, sequences that convert, and win stories you can tell on day one. You are not figuring it out alone.
- More market than you can imagine. Industrial America hires millions of frontline workers a year, and almost none of these companies have seen anything like our product. You are selling into greenfield with a category lead.
- Gain experience running entire deal cycles. Our SDRs help build contracts, run follow-ups, set up pilots and customer portals, and sit in on closing and negotiation. You learn the full cycle starting in month one.
- A proven path. Our founding AE earned the promotion in 7 months and is crushing it. Perform, and we will commit to the same path for you: AE in 9 to 12 months, faster if you force the issue.
- Founder-led. You will work directly with our CEO, who has built and scaled revenue teams before and is doing it again.
Who You Are
- A hunter. You live for opening doors and winning new logos.
- Customer-obsessed. You measure success by problems solved, not activities logged.
- Fast and precise. You put up volume without getting sloppy.
- Coachable and competitive. You seek out feedback and would rather find the better angle than defend yours.
- Resilient. Tough targets motivate you.
- An owner. Nothing is "not my job."
What You'll Do
- Build pipeline from zero: research, prospect, call, text, and book demos with plant managers, HR leaders, and executives at industrial companies.
- Spearfish strategic accounts and build multi-threaded relationships inside some of the largest manufacturers in the country.
- Work deals past the first meeting: contracts, follow-ups, pilots, customer portals, and a seat at the table for closing and negotiation.
- Travel to conferences and plant floors to demo Sam live and lock in next steps on the spot.
- Feed what you hear in the market straight to engineering so the product wins faster.
- Jump on whatever accelerates the company. Startup life.
Skills & Experience
- 1+ years in a quota-carrying hunting role (SDR/BDR, door-to-door, recruiting desk), or an equivalent record of competitive excellence. College athletics counts.
- A consistent history of hitting activity and meeting goals.
- Clear written and verbal communication. You make complex ideas land with operators.
- Organized. Your CRM, calendar, and priorities are locked in.
- Bonus: background in HR tech, manufacturing, logistics, or other frontline industries.
This is a full-time, in-person role at our office near SoHo/West Village in New York City.
