Job description

New Business & Growth | North America | Reports to SVP of Sales, Life Sciences The world of work hasn't changed gradually. It's changed fundamentally. Enterprises no longer want a headcount number or a rate card — they want an outcome, delivered with speed, governed with confidence, and built to get better every time. Vertage exists to be the platform that makes that possible: one engine that curates the right mix of specialist talent and AI to deliver the work our customers actually need. As a Principal Account Executive in our Life Sciences vertical, you're the person who brings new enterprise customers onto that platform — and then grows them into partners who see Vertage as the advantage that compounds, deal after deal, year after year. The Opportunity This is a new-business and growth role inside our Life Sciences vertical, built for someone who already knows how to win in specialist Life Sciences staffing and wants to build something bigger with it. You'll bring new customers into the Vertage portfolio and grow them across our full suite of services — contract, direct hire, and Statement of Work delivery — accelerating our momentum across North America and laying the groundwork for what comes next. What You'll Do • Apply deep knowledge of U.S. specialist staffing models to win new enterprise customers for the Life Sciences vertical. • Build genuine relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, uncovering new business opportunities and paths to grow existing accounts. • Build pipelines through a mix of outbound prospecting, forward marketing, social selling, and in-person client meetings. • Translate technical resource requirements into clear delivery briefs, partnering closely with the recruiting team on candidate selection. • Deliver a world-class account experience end to end, fostering collaboration across teams and regions rather than working in a silo. • Use deep market knowledge to build account-based marketing campaigns that open the right doors with the right buyers. What You'll Bring • Deep knowledge of U.S. staffing models, including contract, Statement of Work, and direct hire delivery. • A track record of winning new-logo business and growing it into a multi-service, multi-year relationship. • Comfort with modern sales tooling — LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Talent Insights, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Bullhorn, Claude, and Power BI. • Strategic vision and data-driven instincts, paired with the collaborative leadership to align teams around a shared outcome. • A genuine interest in how AI and human expertise combine to change what's possible for our customers — you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be curious. How We Work We ask everyone at Vertage to bring trust, customer-centricity, innovation, authenticity, inclusivity, and agility to the work — and to put the results of the team ahead of personal interest. We make and keep our promises, treat people with respect, and take the safety and integrity of our colleagues, our customers, and our talent seriously in everything we do. Why Vertage For more than 50 years, our businesses have helped organizations find the right workforce solution and the right talent at the right time. Now we're bringing that expertise together on one platform — built once, available everywhere, instantly. If you want to help enterprises move from planning around headcount to planning around outcomes, this is where that work happens. Where advantage compounds. Our Changemaker Principles How we think, move and build — where adaptability, intelligence and momentum matter most. • Push Boundaries: Challenging assumptions and staying curious — embracing technology and testing ideas quickly. • Take Ownership: Leading with accountability and intent, and owning the outcomes we create together. • Create Impact: Focusing on meaningful outcomes — the right expertise and tools, applied with precision. • Stay Human: Putting people first, leading with empathy and respect to build lasting trust.
