Job description

Why Vagaro? At Vagaro, we believe in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive. Our culture is built on innovation, continuous learning, and a passion for making a positive impact. We support our employees' growth and vision for themselves, offering opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Join us and be part of a team that values creativity, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Plus, we know how to have fun while getting the job done! What you'll be doing: This role offers close exposure to the people who run the business and real ownership of the work. Vagaro is a vertical SaaS and payments platform serving more than 100,000 business owners across beauty, wellness, and fitness. Our finance team is small, so every analyst takes on real responsibility early. You will work directly with the Head of FP&A and present to our senior leadership (CEO, CFO, COO, etc.). The questions you take on are the ones leadership acts on: • Which customer segments and acquisition channels earn their cost, and where should we put the next dollar? • What do our pricing, product, and GTM bets do for growth and margin? You will be involved in the full arc of the work: building the model, forming a view, making a recommendation, and supporting the operating team after the decision has been made. * This role is based onsite in Pleasanton, CA Monday through Friday* Compensation • Base Annual Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 • Annual Bonus: Up to 10% Your Impact: Strategic Analysis and Executive Decision Support (most of your time) • Own analyses that inform major decisions: pricing, product investment, go-to-market, and capital allocation. • Build and maintain the company's core operating model, including EBITDA forecasting, churn analysis, and unit economics, and use it to run scenarios and sensitivities. • Turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses, then into clear recommendations for senior leadership, usually as a short memo or a few slides. • Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders to size opportunities and track whether the bets pay off. Planning and Forecasting • Support the annual budget and rolling forecast, with emphasis on explaining what drives the numbers and what the implications are. • Run variance analysis that ends in a point of view and a recommended action. Reporting and The Data Foundation • Own the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting package (MRR, ARR, churn, transaction volume, payments revenue) and the executive dashboards. • Where reporting is slow or manual, you will help streamline and improve it. This will generally require improving our use of Excel, Power BI, and/or AI. • Senior Analysts will lead larger, more cross-functional workstreams, own the model architecture, and guide how the team frames and presents its work. What You Bring: People who do well at Vagaro tend to share a few qualities, no matter what their résumé looks like. Colleagues turn to you when a problem is hard. You learn new businesses, datasets, and tools quickly, and you care about getting the work right. Many of our strongest candidates come from... • Strategy consulting, at the Analyst, Consultant, or Associate level • Investment banking, equity research, private equity, or corporate development • Strategy, finance, or operations teams at leading technology companies • If your background is different but your track record is strong, we would love to hear from you. You may recognize yourself here... • You have a record of strong performance, such as early promotions, challenging assignments, or added responsibility. • You think in structure: you can break an ambiguous question into pieces and work toward a clear answer. • You look for real ownership, love diving into the details, and hate inefficiencies. • You are comfortable with numbers and build analyses that hold up to scrutiny. • You communicate clearly and with confidence, in writing and in front of senior leadership. • You set a high bar for your own work and enjoy working with others who do too. Experience: • 2-4+ years of relevant experience. • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field is typical, but not mandatory. • We care much more about how you think and what you have accomplished than where you did it or for how long. What You'll Get: • Scope and growth • Direct access to senior leadership and visibility into how decisions are made • Ownership of your analyses from question to recommendation to outcome • A small, in-person team that works side by side, with quick feedback and short lines to decision-makers Why You’ll Love Working Here: 💖 • Attractive Compensation & Performance Bonuses: Enjoy a competitive salary paired with performance-based bonuses • Generous PTO: 15 accrued days, plus 10 company holidays annually. • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision plans for you and your family. 🏥 • Exclusive Perks: Discounts on attractions, theme parks, shows, sports events, movies, hotels, and more through TicketsAtWork. 🎟️ • Beauty Perks: $30/month reimbursement for any Vagaro service, including health, beauty, or wellness treatments. 💅 • Food Perks: $50 monthly stipend for our onsite microkitchen and a complimentary DoorDash DashPass subscription. 🍽️ • Growth Opportunities: College Assistance Reimbursement, access to EAP & Work/Life Programs, and a LinkedIn Learning account. 📚 • Financial Security: 401k program with 4% matching and optional life/supplemental insurance. 💰 • Stay Active: Access to our on-site gym, flavored water dispenser, and basketball court to keep you fit and energized! 🏀 Equal Opportunity Employer: Vagaro is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action employer.
