Job description

🌍 Location: Remote [United States] 💰 Salary: $200-300k including bonus & equity About Clever Clever Real Estate is a venture-backed proptech company on a mission to change how people buy, sell, and manage real estate. Since 2017, we've helped more than 200,000 homeowners sell their homes while saving thousands in fees, and we're just getting started. With a strong foundation in real estate, we're aggressively expanding through vertical integration, building a suite of adjacent businesses that serve customers at every step of the home transaction journey. We’ve built a leading real estate platform and earned a 4.9 TrustPilot rating with over 4,000 reviews, helping consumers save over $220 million in real estate fees. As a team, we FORGE leaders. We move with Frequency and urgency, take Ownership of outcomes, build genuine Relationships, commit to Growth every day, and hold ourselves to a standard of Excellence we're always raising. If you're excited to play a key role at a company that transforms how people navigate their real estate journey, we’d love to hear from you! Role Overview We're hiring a Senior Product Manager who leads with empathy for the end consumer and brings that same clarity of thinking to every experience Clever delivers, whether someone is navigating a real estate decision for the first time or an ops team member is trying to do their job without friction. This role sits at the intersection of user experience and systems thinking. You'll own product surfaces and workflows that real people interact with every day, and you'll have the technical fluency to understand what's driving the experience underneath. You'll report to Product leadership and serve as a critical cross-functional partner, helping Clever build products that earn consumer trust and scale with the business. Focus Area User Experience (External and Internal) — You'll own the product surfaces and workflows that define how people experience Clever, whether they're a consumer navigating a real estate decision, an agent managing their pipeline, or an ops team member doing their job. You'll identify where experiences break down, where trust erodes, and where a better-designed touchpoint changes the outcome for a real person. That lens applies equally to the consumer-facing flows you ship and the internal tools your colleagues rely on every day. Key Responsibilities • Own product experiences that touch consumers, agents, and internal teams, always connecting design and product decisions back to real user needs and outcomes • Bring a strong consumer perspective to every problem: advocate for the end user in prioritization, tradeoffs, and roadmap decisions • Map the full journey of a consumer or internal user through Clever's product, and identify where the experience breaks down, creates friction, or loses trust • Partner with designers and engineers to define requirements, shape flows, and ship experiences that are clear, reliable, and trustworthy • Translate ambiguous user and business problems into clear specs, MVPs, and measurable outcomes • Reduce friction for internal users (ops, sales, support) by replacing manual workarounds with well-designed tooling and workflows • Define success metrics that reflect real user experience quality: not just engagement or uptime, but whether people are getting the outcome they came for • Use AI tools heavily to accelerate research, discovery, documentation, prototyping, and analysis What Success Looks Like In 6 months... Deep understanding of Clever's users and the journeys they navigate. Trust earned across Design, Engineering, Operations, and Product leadership. Highest-impact experience gaps identified and turned into a clear roadmap. Early improvements shipped and validated with real users. In 12 months... Measurably better experiences for consumers and internal teams. Clearer, more trustworthy touchpoints across Clever's core flows. Internal teams spending less time on friction and workarounds. Leadership has visibility into how experience quality connects to consumer trust and business outcomes. Qualifications • 5+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping user-facing products that people love • Deep consumer empathy: you think instinctively about the person on the other end of every decision, and you can articulate what they need even when they can't • Experience owning the full product loop: discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration based on real user feedback • Ability to think in terms of both user journeys and underlying systems, understanding how back-end decisions manifest as front-line experiences • Experience reducing friction for internal users through tooling, workflow design, and process improvement • AI-native working style, actively using AI tools to accelerate product work • Clear written communication: specs, problem briefs, tradeoff docs, decision memos • Strong business judgment connecting experience quality to consumer trust, retention, and revenue Nice to Have • Real estate, fintech, marketplace, or partner-driven business experience • SQL familiarity • TCPA/CAN-SPAM compliance experience What We Offer 💰 Salary : $200-300k including bonus & equity 🏥 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 🌴 Paid Time Off: 18 days of PTO (increases with tenure) plus 10 paid holidays 📚 Professional Development: Annual budget for learning and career growth 🏝️ Tenure Sabbaticals: Paid sabbaticals to celebrate major milestones 🏡 Clever Product Benefit: Exclusive access to Clever homeownership perks 🖥️ Work-From-Home Stipend: Support for your remote workspace 💼 401(k): Retirement plan administered through Betterment 👶 Parental Leave: 6–12 weeks of paid parental leave 💙 Wellness Benefits: Free counseling sessions and optional weekly meditation Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Statement: Clever Real Estate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
