Job description

ABOUT PATLYTICS Patlytics is the fastest-growing AI-native patent intelligence platform, transforming how IP is protected and monetized at scale. Our advanced LLMs and generative AI engine, custom-built for intellectual property, power every phase of the patent workflow from invention disclosure to patent prosecution through litigation, delivering citation-backed insights with unprecedented accuracy and speed. Backed by $65 million in total funding from investors including SignalFire, Google's Gradient fund, 8VC, N47, Myriad Venture Partners, Relativity, Alumni Ventures, Antiportfolio Ventures, and BAM Corner Point, Patlytics is trusted by 40% of the AmLaw 100, including Quinn Emanuel, Latham & Watkins, Foley & Lardner, and Susman Godfrey, as well as leading corporate IP teams at Rivian, Google, Panasonic, Sanofi, and Canon. Customers are seeing up to 90% reduction in project time, with claim charts that used to cost $30K+ in attorney time now completed at a fraction of that cost. With teams across the globe we're building a global company fueled by exceptional talent and bold ideas. Our rapid expansion is driven by people who bring entrepreneurial energy, intellectual curiosity, and a shared commitment to setting the global standard for AI-powered IP intelligence. We're creating a culture where diverse perspectives shape breakthrough innovation and every voice contributes to transforming how the world protects ideas. ABOUT THE ROLE Patent work is high-stakes, deeply technical, and unforgiving. Our customers use Patlytics for portfolio management, active litigation, prosecution, and licensing negotiations where being wrong isn't an option. We're hiring a Product Manager to own a core surface of the platform end to end: strategy through shipped, adopted workflows. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, design, GTM, and our in-house patent attorneys. This is a builder role, not a roadmap-management role. You set the vision, write crisp one-pagers, and stay close enough to the product to feel every rough edge yourself. You hop on calls with patent attorneys at AmLaw 100 firms and Fortune 500 IP teams, translate what you hear into product, and personally drive adoption. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own a core product area end to end: Set the strategy, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship outcomes, not output, across modules like drafting, infringement analysis, invalidity research, or portfolio management. - Live with customers: Spend real time with patent attorneys and in-house IP counsel through discovery calls, design partnerships, and on-sites. Translate what you hear into product. - Bridge law and AI: Translate nuanced patent workflows (Office Action responses, claim charting, SEP analysis, invalidity contentions) into elegant, scalable software. - Build with the models: Design, test, and iterate on complex LLM prompts and AI agents to ensure highly accurate, citation-backed, and legally sound results. - Define and move the metrics: Instrument what matters, then drive measurable impact on activation, adoption, retention, and customer outcomes. - Drive velocity without dropping the bar: Maintain a rapid shipping cadence while protecting the enterprise-grade accuracy, auditability, and security our customers demand. WHAT YOU NEED - 7+ years of product management experience with a track record you can point to: specific outcomes (adoption, revenue, retention, efficiency) that your work moved. - Products you've shipped that you're proud of, and the receipts to prove they drove real customer and business outcomes. - Customer obsession that shows up in behavior. You hop on calls to dig into pain points, iterate alongside users, and personally drive adoption rather than delegating it. - Experience building B2B workflow software where users live in the product every day and small frictions compound into big problems. - Extreme ownership, strong judgment under ambiguity, and a bias toward shipping and learning over planning in a vacuum. NICE-TO-HAVES - Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, evals, or shipping LLM-powered features in production. You stay current with advances in LLMs, retrieval, and agent architectures. - Experience building vertical AI products, especially for technical, regulated, or expert-user domains (legal, healthcare, financial services, etc.). - Familiarity with IP, patents, or legal tech. Not required, but a head start in understanding our users. Don't check every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Many exceptional candidates don't meet every requirement on paper, and some of the best hires far exceed them. WHY PATLYTICS - The opportunity to work at the intersection of AI and law, shaping how the world's most important IP decisions get made - Opportunity to join a rocket ship in the earliest stages of global scale-up - Global exposure: deal with the world's top law firms, tech giants, and innovation-driven corporations - No bureaucracy. No ceiling. Just impact, ownership, and velocity. WE OFFER - Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, vision, plus FSA, commuter benefits, and health advocacy through Rightway - Mental health and wellness support: Access to Spring Health and Headspace, plus "Mental Escape Days" to recharge when you need it - Immediate 401(k) enrollment with no waiting period to start saving for your future - Generous time off: Unlimited PTO, 12 paid company holidays, plus a full week off during our Holiday Break - Family-first policies: Paid parental leave to support you during life's biggest moments - Invest in yourself: Professional development budget, gym membership stipend, and learning opportunities - Celebrate what matters: Birthday and work anniversary recognition, plus generous employee referral bonuses
