Job Title: Systems Software Programmer – Project Lead ( 13554) Location: Columbia, SC 29210 Work Location: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week Candidate Location: Must be a current South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed. Duration: 6 Months Extension: Possible Interview Process: 1 Round – Virtual Scope of the Project: Software development and support for custom applications using: • .NET / C# • SQL • XML • JSON • Web Applications • APIs • SSRS / Power BI The environment is an IT-focused law-enforcement government agency with a medium-sized team focused on service-level results. Daily Duties / Responsibilities • Design, build, and implement custom web applications and APIs with limited supervision. • Troubleshoot and debug software code. • Develop and modify new and existing systems using .NET, SQL, and/or similar web technologies . • Develop data transport methods using XML or JSON . • Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or similar reporting technologies . • Work with the Application Development team on analysis, design, implementation, and modification of computer systems. • Provide application support for custom business applications and document issues and resolutions. • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to identify system defects and potential enhancements. • Evaluate the impact of proposed changes to business processes, systems, and technology. • Assess existing applications based on business needs and best practices. • Write and maintain technical specifications and technical documentation. • Coordinate updates to documentation related to test cases and technical requirements .
