Short Description: WMATA requires one(1) ProgrammerAnalyst 3 (Full Stack Developer) to design, develop, and integratefull-stack applications for the MetroAlerts notification platform on MicrosoftAzure and Power Platform. Complete Description: WMATA is seeking staffaugmentation resources for software development tasks that span the full operational scope of Metro. These contract positions support the development of applications in Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Azure, focused on process improvement for mission-critical processes, including public-facing service applications. The engagement seeks professionals with demonstrated experience in the design, deployment, enhancement, and support of highly available, mission-critical applications serving public-facing and internal business functions, primarily on Microsoft Azure and Power Platform. Candidates must have expertise in the tools, governance frameworks, security practices, and delivery methodologies commonly employed by large enterprises to develop, integrate, and maintain complex business applications. The initial scope includes enhancement, optimization, and enterprise integration of a public-facing notification platform that requires additional integration with key enterprise systems. Services may include data architecture and design, application development to support new business processes, refinement and automation of existing processes, enterprise system integrations, UX/UI improvements, accessibility enhancements, quality assurance, performance optimization, and scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer engagement. Duties and Responsibilities: The Full Stack Developer needs to be able to take features and functions from idea or concept into production level applications. Needs to be able to dissect an application and determine the best way to introduce new functions and features into an existing application without diminishing the core functionality of that application. There is a clear expectation for team collaboration and the use of the Agile methodology. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent level of competency. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Move 3-5 years hands-on experience, including tech-lead experience. Required 3 Years Back end: Deep .NET Core or Node.js on Azure; microservices/modular architecture; REST API design and data-integration patterns. Required 4 Years Hands-on experience, with strong front-end design and coding emphasis. Required 4 Years Front end: React or Angular; translating designs into responsive, high-performance, production-ready UIs Required 4 Years Cloud: working knowledge of Azure services (Container Apps, Azure Functions and serverless integrations, Storage, Key Vault) and CI/CD workflows. Required 4 Years Quality: unit/integration testing, defect resolution, and adherence to WMATA architecture and release governance. Required 4 Years Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent level of competency.
