Senior Product Manager, Applied AI & Machine Learning - Operator Suite at JustPark

Job description

About JustPark JustPark is the premier partner offering both B2B solutions for destinations and B2C services for drivers, giving us the best of both worlds. We simplify the entire parking experience. From venues and councils to private driveways, our platform makes it simple for drivers to find, book, and pay for parking—while empowering our operating partners to deliver exceptional parking experiences. We’ve always believed parking should be easier—from end to end. That’s why we, two trailblazing companies—ParkHub and JustPark—have come together to make that vision a reality. ParkHub revolutionized event parking in the US, optimizing venue operations for a smoother, stress-free experience. JustPark transformed parking in the UK, turning the hunt for a spot into a simple, seamless task. Now, as one unified company, we’re combining expertise to offer a full-service, frictionless parking solution for both businesses and consumers. About the role We are hiring a Senior Product Manager for Applied AI and Machine Learning — a hands-on, deeply technical product leader who will own the AI/ML product roadmap for our Operator Suite and define, prototype, and evaluate the models behind it. This is a hybrid role that combines senior product ownership with individual-contributor depth across forecasting, dynamic pricing, route and operational optimization, real-time decisioning, and modern LLM-based applications. Our Operator Suite is the operational command center that venue teams use to plan events, price and distribute parking, run event-day operations, and analyze performance. It sits within a broader B2B product line that also includes on-site point-of-sale and access-validation technology and a presell and distribution product for parking passes — all reporting into the Senior Director of Product. This role owns the Operator Suite specifically, and leads the AI/ML work that turns a decade of proprietary venue and event data into commercial value. Part 1 — Lead Product Manager, Operator Suite. Define and execute the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the Operator Suite — the operator-facing component of our market-leading B2B product line for venue operators, destinations, and parking partners. • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, the live-events and parking industry, the competitive landscape, and JustPark’s commercial priorities to inform product strategy. • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for the Operator Suite, sequenced against measurable customer and business outcomes. • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data to run discovery, define product requirements, and lead execution from concept through launch, adoption, and scale. • Define the input and output KPIs that determine success for the Suite, and hold the cross-functional team accountable to hitting them. Part 2 — AI/ML Product Leader. Own the AI portfolio across the Operator Suite: pre-event planning and setup optimization, live-event dynamic pricing and routing, and post-event analytics and optimization. Start by applying commercial LLMs and best-in-class third-party forecasting tools to our proprietary data; evolve to conceiving, validating, and launching proprietary predictive and generative models tuned to the economics of live events. You will operate as a hands-on individual contributor across data science and machine learning — scoping problems, building prototypes, running evaluations, and driving candidates to production — while partnering closely with our central Data and Data Science organization on architecture, scaled deployment, and shared ML infrastructure. • Set and drive the AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Operator Suite, from research prototype through commercial launch and continuous iteration. • Personally scope, prototype, and evaluate models — reading the research, writing the notebooks, interrogating the offline metrics, and pressure-testing the online experiment design — alongside our Data Science and ML Engineering partners. • Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks — golden datasets, offline benchmarks, backtests, A/B and switchback experiments, and human evaluation rubrics — that define product quality before launch and safeguard it after. • Design the data flywheel so that every production deployment generates the signals, labels, and telemetry needed to train and improve the next generation of models. • Partner across the organization to set the standard for how JustPark builds AI products: prompt and evaluation hygiene, guardrails, model governance, and the AI-native discovery practices the wider organization will adopt. This is either a fully remote or a hybrid role, for the latter, requiring three days per week in office, based in Dallas, TX. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing. Why Work For Us This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most important product bets JustPark will make. You will not inherit someone else’s roadmap — you will define the AI architecture, the customer experience, and the direction of the Operator Suite as it is rebuilt to scale. You will: • Own a company-defining initiative with direct executive sponsorship, meaningful Engineering and Data capacity, and 10+ years of proprietary event-venue data as your training set. • Partner with a senior, bought-in Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science organization moving fast — a culture of collaboration, not handoff. • Create measurable impact for the operators, venue partners, and destinations across the U.S. who rely on JustPark every day. • Shape not only the product, but the AI ways of working the rest of the company will adopt. If you want to ship AI products that measurably move a P&L in a category where no competitor has both the data and the distribution to match, this is the seat. Responsibilities Product Management — Operator Suite • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Operator Suite, from customer discovery and opportunity sizing through roadmap definition, launch, adoption, and scale. • Conduct rigorous customer, market, and competitive research; translate insights into a prioritized backlog of high-impact opportunities. • Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, and QA to lead discovery, define product requirements, run agile ceremonies, and ship high-quality releases on a predictable cadence. • Define pricing, packaging, and Product-Led Growth strategy, and partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to drive adoption, retention, and revenue expansion. • Establish the input and output metrics that define success for the Suite and communicate progress transparently to executive leadership, customers, and the board. AI / Data Science / ML Product Leadership • Own the AI product portfolio across the full event lifecycle — pre-event planning and setup optimization, live-event dynamic pricing and routing, and post-event analytics and optimization. • Serve as a hands-on individual contributor on model architecture, feature engineering, evaluation, and iteration in close collaboration with our central Data Science and ML Engineering teams — applying deep technical judgement rather than acting as a translator between functions. • Design and operate the offline and online evaluation systems — datasets, metrics, experiments, and guardrails — that determine when a model is ready for production and when it must be rolled back. • Own build-vs-buy decisions across commercial LLMs, third-party forecasting and data providers, and proprietary in-house models, in partnership with the CTO and Data Science leadership, and hold the ROI case for each transition. • Own AI observability, telemetry, human-in-the-loop workflows, and the safety and quality bar for every Operator Suite model in production. Requirements Product • 5+ years in product management, with meaningful time in AI, ML, or applied data science product roles, ideally at a recognized AI-first organization. • Demonstrated commercial success shipping AI or ML products in production — not pilots or internal tools, but scaled products driving meaningful customer and business impact. • Exceptional customer discovery, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills. You can explain a model’s limits to a customer and its business case to stakeholders. AI / Data Science / ML • Deep, hands-on data science and machine learning background. You have personally built, evaluated, and iterated on models across supervised learning, time-series forecasting, ranking, uplift modeling, and modern LLM techniques (prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, evaluations, agentic workflows). • Working fluency with the modern ML stack: Python, SQL, Jupyter, common ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch or equivalent), experiment tracking (Weights & Biases, MLflow), and at least one major cloud ML platform. • Strong grasp of experimentation and causal inference — A/B, switchback, and synthetic-control designs, and the ability to detect and correct for confounds in observational data. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Strongly Preferred • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or Operations Research. • Hands-on experience with AI/ML/DS, shipping demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, route or operational optimization, marketplace ranking, or real-time decisioning products at scale — for example Google Maps, Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Airbnb, Booking, Expedia, Instacart, or comparable operators. • Track record of evolving a product from applied LLM and third-party model integration through to proprietary in-house models, with a clear ROI case for each transition. Benefits Recharge your batteries • Unlimited PTO policy • Complimentary in-office barista (Dallas office) • Catered breakfast & lunch Tuesday–Thursday (Dallas office) • Weekly social events at the office (Dallas office) Investment in you and your wellbeing • Comprehensive medical & dental coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mutual of Omaha • Multiple healthcare plan options including low-deductible and HSA, plus broad supplemental benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Subscriptions to mental health assistance platforms We look out for your family • Generous parental leave policy • Fertility support via ARC Fertility • Pet insurance and discount plans Look after the pennies • 401(k) retirement and savings plan • Travel stipend for local employees Success is best when it's shared • Regular social activities and ad hoc celebrations
