POSITION OVERVIEW
As Learning.com sharpens its product strategy and market position, we are seeking a strategic Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive market-facing strategy for our products and solutions. This role sits within Product Management and serves as the connective tissue between product strategy and go-to-market execution, ensuring market evidence, buyer needs, product capabilities, and commercial priorities are translated into clear decisions, launches, messaging, and field readiness.
The Senior Product Marketing Manager translates customer problems, buyer needs, competitive dynamics, product capabilities, and market opportunities into clear positioning, go-to-market strategy, launch readiness, sales confidence, and compelling market narratives that help districts understand why Learning.com matters and why digital literacy, AI literacy, and responsible technology readiness are urgent priorities.
This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role that partners closely with Product leaders, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Enablement, Regional Marketing, Marketing Services, and RevOps. This person will help define, refine, and operationalize repeatable go-to-market and product marketing frameworks that improve launch quality, message consistency, sales confidence, and post-launch learning. The right candidate will bring market-backed judgment, strong synthesis skills, concise communication, and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear direction that improves how we build, launch, sell, retain, and expand our solutions.
WHO YOU ARE
• You are passionate about helping students create healthy and proficient relationships with technology
• You are market-led and customer-obsessed, with the discipline to validate assumptions through evidence
• You are a strategic thinker who can turn complex inputs into a clear point of view, message, or recommendation
• You are commercially minded and understand how positioning, enablement, launch readiness, and customer proof influence growth
• You are energized by cross-functional work that requires input gathering, clear recommendations, alignment, and follow-through
• You are comfortable working in ambiguity and building repeatable systems in a scaling company
• You actively collaborate, constructively challenge ideas, and help teams align around what matters most
• You are curious about artificial intelligence (AI), digital readiness, and other technology innovations shaping K-12 education
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Serve as a product marketing leader within the organization by establishing frameworks, influencing cross-functional discussions, and helping scale product marketing capabilities for growth
• Define, refine, and operationalize repeatable go-to-market and product marketing frameworks that improve launch quality, message consistency, sales confidence, and post-launch learning
• Lead the voice-of-customer, win/loss synthesis, market intelligence, and competitive intelligence operating rhythm, turning market signals into clear recommendations for product strategy, positioning, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution
• Develop and maintain buyer personas, buying committee insights, buyer journey mapping, objection themes, and segment-specific messaging for district and school decision-makers
• Create differentiated positioning, value propositions, proof points, and messaging frameworks that clearly articulate the urgent problem we solve, why it matters now, and why Learning.com is uniquely positioned to win
• Lead go-to-market strategy for product launches and major initiatives, including helping define and refine launch frameworks, audience definition, launch tiering, readiness milestones, internal communications, sales enablement, success metrics, and post-launch learning
• Bring market evidence, including win/loss patterns, buyer needs, competitive dynamics, customer adoption, and commercial signals, directly into product strategy and roadmap discussions, helping connect product investments to measurable business outcomes
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Enablement, Regional Marketing, Marketing Services, and RevOps to drive internal adoption of messaging, improve field consistency, measure effectiveness, and refine positioning based on feedback and performance data
• Build repeatable product marketing systems, including competitive battlecards, launch playbooks, messaging frameworks, product one-pagers, demo narratives, objection handling, sales talk tracks, internal FAQs, and recurring market intelligence reporting
• Translate product capabilities into compelling market stories that connect to district priorities, including digital literacy, AI literacy, responsible technology use, career readiness, student safety, instructional efficiency, and measurable student outcomes
• Support demand generation, customer retention, and expansion efforts by providing product messaging, campaign inputs, customer proof points, thought leadership themes, and clear segment-specific value propositions
• Establish and monitor product marketing success measures, including launch readiness, message adoption, field feedback, competitive effectiveness, pipeline influence, expansion support, and post-launch performance
• Use AI tools, customer data, and market insights to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of research, competitive monitoring, message testing, content development, and go-to-market execution
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, EdTech, education technology, curriculum, public-sector software, or a comparable market
• Proven ability to create positioning, messaging, go-to-market plans, product launch strategies, and sales enablement that improve market clarity and commercial outcomes
• Strong market research, voice-of-customer, win/loss, competitive analysis, and customer insight skills
• Ability to synthesize complex inputs from customers, prospects, Product, Sales, Customer Success, data, and the market into clear recommendations and usable artifacts
• Experience partnering with Product Management to connect market problems, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and commercial opportunity to product and roadmap discussions
• Experience partnering with Sales and Revenue Enablement to create sales tools, talk tracks, objection handling, demo narratives, and training that help teams sell value instead of features
• Experience defining market categories, category narratives, or thought leadership strategies that influence buyer perception and market awareness
• Strong strategic writing, storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and constructively challenge ideas using market evidence and business judgment
• Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and create structure without overcomplicating the work
• Ability to use data to evaluate product marketing effectiveness and make informed recommendations
• Experience and overall curiosity in leveraging AI tools and resources to support more efficient and effective outcomes
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, education, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
STRONG PLUS
• Experience in K-12 EdTech or selling into districts, schools, state education agencies, or public-sector buying committees
• Experience with digital literacy, AI literacy, computer science, instructional technology, curriculum, assessment, or student safety solutions
• Experience building product marketing practices, launch systems, competitive intelligence programs, or messaging frameworks in a smaller or scaling organization
• Experience helping define or shape emerging categories related to AI literacy, digital readiness, responsible technology use, or future-ready learning desired.
INSIGHTS AND ANALYTICS
• Strong ability to listen and ask the right questions of prospects and customers to uncover urgent market problems, even when those problems are not clearly articulated
• Ability to identify patterns across customer conversations, win/loss themes, field feedback, competitive activity, product usage, adoption signals, and market trends
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate product marketing effectiveness and inform future strategy, messaging, launch planning, enablement, and campaign support
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Learning.com has a clear, differentiated market narrative that internal teams can consistently understand, use, and reinforce
• Product launches are proactive, cross-functionally aligned, measurable, and supported by the right messaging, enablement, and readiness plans
• Sales and Customer Success teams can confidently explain product value, handle objections, and connect solutions to district priorities
• Market, buyer, competitive, and customer insights are regularly synthesized and used to inform product, marketing, sales, and retention decisions
• We have a clear, defensible view of what we are building, what we are not, and why, grounded in where the market is heading.
