Job description

TECHNICAL RECRUITER BUILD THE FUTURE OF INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT WITH US The infrastructure managing $300 trillion in assets was built in the 90s. Now, all of it is up for grabs. The winner of the AI era of investment management will be a $100B+ company. We intend to be that company. To get there, we're assembling the most talent-dense startup in New York. We hire people who are 1) exceptional, 2) allergic to anything that's not exceptional, and 3) recruiters of other exceptional people. We also have no tolerance for brilliant jerks. We run lean by design. We work with a select group of the largest financial institutions in the world, go incredibly deep with each, and sit in the flow of trillions of dollars. We hire fewer people, ask each to own the outcome, and pay on impact - not tenure or experience. Moment is not for everyone. The standards are unreasonably high. The pace is intense. And there is no playbook. In return: the best work of your career, building a generational company. ABOUT MOMENT Moment is the AI operating system for investment management, built for the world's largest wealth firms and fintechs. Moment works with firms managing more than $10 trillion in client assets and is backed by Index, a16z, and Lightspeed. Moment was founded by former quants from Citadel and Jane Street and is based in NYC. THE ROLE At Moment, you’ll be expected to own and go full stack on our hiring engine. You should expect to drive discovery, outreach, and early relationship-building with top talent across multiple roles. You’ll partner closely with leadership and hiring managers to deeply understand what “world class” actually looks like. Your work will directly shape our ability to consistently attract and engage high-impact candidates as we scale. This role is for someone who thrives in fast-moving, highly collaborative environments and enjoys the challenge of hard searches. You bring creativity, persistence, and a strong point of view on recruiting strategy, and you care deeply about doing the work thoughtfully and with rigor. You believe that great hiring isn’t just about filling roles, but rather a product that meaningfully influences who we become as a company. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Pipeline Generation - Own top-of-funnel sourcing for senior, staff, and principal product, design, and engineering roles. Build creative outbound campaigns, leverage networks, and develop unique angles to reach top-tier talent. - Full-Cycle Recruiting - Manage the entire candidate journey from first touch to close: screening, interview coordination, debriefs, offer construction, and onboarding. Ensure every candidate has a high-signal and delightful experience; even the ones we don't hire. - Hiring Manager Partnership - Partner with engineering leaders to define role profiles, calibrate scorecards, and build a shared model of what great looks like. Bring market intelligence, candidate signal, and process discipline to every search. - Process & Systems - Build and maintain the operational backbone of technical hiring: ATS hygiene, structured interview kits, scorecards, reporting, and recurring hiring rituals (pipeline reviews, debriefs, calibration sessions) that scale as the team grows - Brand & Storytelling - You're the first Moment most candidates experience. How you frame what we're building decides whether the best ones take the next call; own the story and sharpen it constantly. YOU’RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE - 3+ years of experience sourcing or recruiting technical and/or go-to-market talent, ideally in (high-growth or early-stage environments) - Exceptional sourcing instincts and a builder's mindset for outbound creativity - High-velocity operator who thrives running many concurrent searches without dropping detail - Strong judgment, taste, and an extremely high bar for talent - Excited to grow within a fast-scaling company & build the talent function alongside the founders and leadership. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Base salary: $150K to $250K - Equity: aggressive initial grant + annual performance-based bonuses - Our beautiful West Village Office with a terrace / 5x a week in office - Free lunch and dinner. - $150 monthly gym stipend. - Health, dental, and vision coverage. 100% company reimbursement.
