Job description

Citi is seeking a Senior Digital Onboarding Platform Product Manager to lead the end-to-end transformation of client onboarding across its global Services business — spanning Payments, Liquidity, Trade, and Custody — compressing onboarding cycle times from weeks to days and delivering measurable outcomes for clients at scale. Sitting within Citi's Services organization, this high-profile role owns the product vision, roadmap, and delivery of a scalable digital onboarding platform, working across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape the future of global banking. This is an opportunity to own a strategically significant product domain, drive real change through technology and product strategy, and leave a lasting mark on how Citi's clients experience onboarding worldwide. Responsibilities • Own the digital onboarding product vision and roadmap across Payments, Liquidity, Trade, and Custody, translating strategic objectives into prioritized initiatives with clear business cases and measurable KPIs. • Lead and develop a team of product managers, setting direction, managing performance, and building a high-performing team capable of delivering against complex, multi-workstream goals. • Build scalable platform capabilities that automate onboarding across product lines within Services, ensuring globally consistent and platform-agnostic delivery. • Manage and prioritize the product backlog across multiple agile scrum teams, crafting well-scoped epics that bridge business requirements and technical delivery. • Partner with UI/UX designers and subject matter experts using design-thinking methodology to co-create the target onboarding experience for clients and internal teams. • Drive roadmap alignment and target state vision with senior stakeholders across technology, operations, and business functions, building consensus on complex priorities. • Modernize documentation workflows through intelligent automation — including auto-discovery, prefill, eSignatures, and digital lodgment — to reduce manual effort and accelerate client onboarding. • Analyze competitive landscapes, emerging financial technologies, and market trends to continuously evolve the product strategy and inform the innovation roadmap. Required qualifications & skills • 10 or more years of relevant experience in product management, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead product teams, own roadmaps, and orchestrate delivery across multiple teams in an agile environment. • Background in client onboarding automation, online banking portals, or digital platforms within financial services — with direct exposure across Payments, Liquidity, Trade, and/or Custody. • Strong analytical capability — able to assess business requirements, evaluate competitive positioning, and translate data-driven insights into clear, actionable product decisions. • Communicates effectively across all levels of seniority and varying degrees of technical expertise, with the ability to align stakeholders and build consensus on complex topics. • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment — managing competing priorities and adapting quickly to shifting requirements. • Sound risk awareness — able to identify, escalate, and manage issues appropriately while maintaining compliance with applicable policies and regulatory obligations. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or a related discipline. Beneficial skills & qualifications • Master's degree in a relevant field, complementing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification. • Familiarity with Straight Through Processing methodology, onboarding APIs, or data-driven automation in a financial services context. • Experience applying design-thinking principles in collaboration with UI/UX teams to shape and refine end-user experiences. • Knowledge of emerging technologies and business model disruptors shaping the future of digital banking and financial services. What we offer At Citi, you will take ownership of some of the most strategically significant product challenges in global financial services — with the scale, cross-functional reach, and senior visibility to deliver solutions that directly improve client outcomes worldwide. This is a role where ambition, accountability, and impact are recognized and rewarded. • A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, giving you flexibility without sacrificing connection and collaboration. • Genuine ownership of a high-profile, globally scoped product domain — with the autonomy to set direction and drive outcomes that matter. • Access to continuous learning and professional development opportunities to keep pace with innovation in financial technology and product management. • A performance-driven environment that recognizes your contribution and supports your long-term career growth. • Wellbeing support and financial benefits designed to help you plan and manage your future with confidence. • The opportunity to collaborate with talented, globally distributed teams across technology, operations, and business — delivering work that transforms client experiences at scale. Apply now to take ownership of a platform that is redefining how Citi's clients onboard — and help shape the next generation of global financial services technology. ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group: Product Management and Development ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family: Product Management ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location: New York New York United States ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $163,600.00 - $245,400.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
