SUMMARY
At Dimensional Innovations (DI), we exist to relieve the world of mediocre experiences and to create remarkable ones. Our people make the remarkable possible through an unwavering display of uncommon commitment each day. From the biggest names in professional sports and entertainment to groundbreaking healthcare facilities and global brands, we transform ideas into unforgettable environments. If you're energized by creativity, collaboration, and a culture that shatters the status quo – welcome home.
We're adding a Manufacturing & Skilled Trades Recruiter to support hiring across the DI&CO companies. This person will recruit for manufacturing, skilled-trade, installation, and mechanical engineering roles. Just as important, they will build relationships that help us find great people before we have an opening. That means getting to know local schools, businesses, community groups, industry organizations, and people who work in manufacturing.
Your background may be in recruiting, manufacturing, sales, higher education, employer relations, or community outreach. You may even have worked on a shop floor yourself. We're most interested in someone who understands manufacturing, enjoys meeting people, follows through, and wants to learn how our teams work so they can give candidates an honest picture of the job.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:
Full-Cycle Recruiting
• Manages full-cycle recruiting for assigned manufacturing, production, skilled-trade, installation, and mechanical engineering positions across DI&CO, from the first intake meeting through offer acceptance and the handoff to onboarding.
• Gets to know our Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams and stays close to hiring managers throughout each search. The goal is to understand what they need now and what they are likely to need next.
• Leads intake meetings and turns technical requirements into job descriptions and postings that candidates can understand.
• Reviews applicants and reaches out to potential candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Paycom, referrals, resume databases, and other channels that make sense for the role.
• Conducts phone interviews, evaluates candidates, and gives hiring managers clear feedback and recommendations.
• Coordinates interviews, follows up with hiring managers, keeps candidates informed, and maintains accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System.
• Coordinates offers, answers candidate questions, initiates background checks and drug screens, and hands new hires off to onboarding.
Pipeline Development and Outreach
• Builds long-term pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill manufacturing, skilled-trade, installation, and engineering positions, instead of starting from scratch each time a job opens.
• Builds relationships with trade schools, technical and community colleges, JUCOs, rural high schools, CTE programs, local businesses, workforce organizations, apprenticeship programs, community groups, veterans' programs, and industry associations.
• Creates a practical plan for each priority school or community partner, including who we should know, how often we should connect, which DI&CO team members should be involved, and how we'll know the partnership is working.
• Coordinates career fairs, classroom presentations, school visits, facility tours, and other opportunities for students and job seekers to learn about DI&CO.
• Keeps in touch with assigned partners, follows through on commitments, and tracks outreach, referrals, candidates, interviews, hires, and other signs of progress.
Targeted Recruiting and Employer Branding
• Finds candidates in Facebook groups, local job groups, trade communities, and other places where welders, fabricators, installers, machinists, and similar talent spend time.
• Works with Marketing on role-specific campaigns, employee stories, realistic job previews, and social content.
• Tries new ways to reach candidates, promotes employee referrals, stays connected with qualified people, and pays attention to which efforts lead to interviews and hires.
Internship Onboarding and Team Support
• Helps recruit and coordinate manufacturing and engineering interns.
• Spends time working alongside and learning from production teams at each DI&CO company during onboarding, generally one to two weeks in each environment. This is a chance to understand the work, equipment, safety expectations, career paths, and skills needed to succeed so you can speak about the jobs from experience.
• Keeps assigned job descriptions current and provides recruiting updates, activity data, and budget information when needed.
• Builds strong working relationships across the organization and handles confidential information with care.
• Helps with team projects and other needs as they come up.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• A solid understanding of manufacturing, skilled trades, production, installation, engineering, construction, or a related technical environment. That knowledge may come from recruiting or from doing the work yourself.
• Comfort reaching candidates through direct outreach, social channels, referrals, schools, community relationships, and in-person networking, and the judgment to change course when something isn't working.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of staying in touch, following through, and turning connections into recruiting opportunities.
• Ability to learn and consistently use Paycom or a similar Applicant Tracking System to keep candidate, sourcing, and relationship information accurate.
• Strong interviewing and candidate-evaluation skills, sound judgment, and the confidence to advise hiring managers.
• Clear verbal and written communication and the ability to connect with hourly employees, salaried professionals, students, and experienced candidates.
• Good organization, follow-through, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several searches and shift priorities when business needs change.
• Willingness to learn on the shop floor, follow all required safety practices, and continue spending time with production teams so you can accurately represent the work.
• Working knowledge of recruiting practices and employment requirements, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Professionalism, good judgment, and respect for confidential information.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in recruiting, manufacturing, sales, higher education, employer relations, community outreach, or a related field is preferred.
• Three or more years of relevant experience in recruiting, manufacturing, sales, college relations, workforce development, or community partnership work is preferred.
• Manufacturing knowledge is required. Experience recruiting manufacturing, skilled-trade, engineering, construction, field-service, or other technical positions is strongly preferred. We will also consider someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who brings strong relationship-building skills.
• Existing relationships with schools, colleges, technical programs, businesses, community organizations, industry groups, or manufacturing professionals are strongly preferred. Involvement with high-school or college programs, athletics, booster clubs, advisory boards, or similar organizations is a plus.
