Job description

Who We Are Workhelix is an enterprise SaaS company with a single goal: helping organizations get the most out of their AI investments. Our people and software combine to give leaders answers to the three critical questions about the business value of AI: Where are our top opportunities to create value with AI? Are our current efforts actually delivering? What’s their ROI? How can we accelerate and increase the benefits of our AI? To find answers for each customer, Workhelix applies our unmatched expertise in economics, AI, and data science. We have pioneered a task-scoring method to identify top GenAI opportunities, ensuring clear, data-driven deployment strategies. Our ROI monitoring suite applies Nobel Prize-winning economics to provide accurate, ongoing insights into the impact of GenAI implementations. Renowned AI and Economics thinkers including Andrew Ng, and cofounders Andy McAfee and Erik Brynjolfsson stand proudly behind our mission. We maintain a culture established on five key principles. For more information on our leadership principles, please visit the careers page of our website. Role We're looking for our first dedicated Business Development Representative, supporting a team of four Account Executives. This is an execution-focused role: cold email, cold calling, and outbound prospecting into our Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts. You'll work closely with Marketing on sequencing and automation and own CRM hygiene across HubSpot and Attio. As the first person in this seat, there's no existing BDR playbook to inherit. You'll be building your own cadence and operating rhythm from the ground up while staying aligned with how our AEs work. Key responsibilities Run disciplined, multi-channel outbound (cold call, cold email, LinkedIn) into assigned Tier 2 and Tier 3 accounts. Research accounts and contacts to prioritize the right prospects and develop relevant outreach. Partner with Marketing on outbound sequencing and campaign cadence. Own CRM data hygiene across HubSpot and Attio as a standing habit, not a cleanup task. Qualify and hand off well-briefed meetings to AEs, with the context they need to run an effective first call. Handle objections in live conversations and adjust messaging based on what's working. Track and use your own activity and conversion metrics to improve performance over time. Represent Workhelix's outreach with integrity, avoiding misrepresentation as you scale multi-channel sequences. What We Value Communication. You communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively in writing and on calls, adapting your message to the audience. Ownership & Execution. You take responsibility for outcomes, follow through on commitments, and proactively figure out what's next without needing constant direction. Drive & Persistence. You sustain effort and stay resilient through rejection, setbacks, and repetitive work. Learning Agility. You absorb new information, product knowledge, and feedback quickly and apply it to new situations. Intellectual Curiosity & Discovery. You're genuinely curious about customers, companies, and problems, and you ask thoughtful questions instead of just executing a script. Coachability & Adaptability. You seek out feedback, apply it, and adjust quickly as priorities or processes change. Prospecting & Pipeline Generation. You identify and prioritize the right prospects and execute disciplined outreach that generates qualified pipeline. Sales Process & Operational Discipline. You manage activity systematically, keep CRM data accurate, use sales tools effectively, and let metrics guide your prioritization. Technical & Business Acumen. You pick up technical, AI-driven products quickly and connect their capabilities to customer problems and outcomes, without leaning on unnecessary jargon. What you bring 2-4 years of outbound BDR/SDR experience, ideally in B2B SaaS. A high-activity, high-organization approach, comfortable owning a structured cadence across cold call, email, and LinkedIn. Fluency with CRM tooling - CRM hygiene is a natural habit for you. Comfort operating with ambiguity as the first person in the role, with no existing playbook to lean on. Strong collaboration instincts, especially around handoff quality with AEs, since a well-qualified, well-briefed meeting is as much of the job as booking it.
