Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: The Woodlands, TX (77380) Duration: 0-12+ months Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (M – F) Flexible working days. Pay Rate: $140 - $150/hr 40 hours per week - Equivalent to 1 project completion Job Description: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will actively be participating in the design, analysis and development of current and new Drill Bit technologies. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: • Creating Drill Bit Design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modelling and data management systems • Interfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology groups to improve product performance • Conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, and applicable processes for HSE, Quality, Legal Compliance and Cultural pillar. To be successful in this role you will: • Have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ relevant experience, Mechanical Engineering or similar • Have experience with 3D CAD system - experience in Siemens NX • Be Familiar with product data management systems - experience in Teamcenter PLM • Have experience with simulations software for Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) • Experience in Drill Bits; PDC, Tricone or Kymera • Select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and make sound design recommendations • Be familiar with mechanical component designs and applied methods • Drive consistent usage of product design standards
