About SOFICO Intelligence
SOFICO Intelligence applies advanced AI and intelligence techniques to transform and extract value from the deep business controls embedded in back-office systems. We build agentic AI that reasons over the complex financial, leasing, fleet, and mobility-management data that runs the enterprise, surfacing fraud, billing errors, hidden risk, and value that traditional tools miss. We are backed by SOFICO, a global leader in ERP software for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management, which gives us deep domain and back-office expertise to build on. Remote work is part of how we operate, and our team is made up of curious, self-directed people who like to build and ship.
Our flagship AI platform, Velona , is a multi-agent system that turns years of business and operational data into financial intelligence. It finds fraud, ghost assets, billing errors, and risk on its own, and reports each finding as a specific asset, a dollar amount, and a recommended action. Rather than acting as a chatbot or a dashboard, it performs real analytical reasoning, runs investigations overnight without supervision, and answers in plain language.
About the role
SOFICO Intelligence is looking for strong engineers to help build the next generation of back-office intelligence. You'll design and build the agentic AI systems behind Velona: Go-based microservices that orchestrate LLM reasoning, autonomous agents, and real-time data in a cloud-native, big-data environment. This is not maintenance work on a legacy system. It is greenfield engineering on a production AI platform, alongside engineers who have shipped at scale for years.
You'll have real room to own your work, with a team ready to support you. We practice Agile in the true sense, following the principles of Agile rather than a specific methodology, and we enjoy the work. Come help us build it.
What you'll do (about 85% of the role):
Design and build the agentic AI systems behind Velona: LLM-orchestration loops, autonomous and supervisor-coordinated agents, and the tools they call to reason over fleet data.
Develop high-scale, user- and business-facing backend services in Go, with Python and JavaScript across the stack, designed for performance and reliability.
Build and integrate tools and agents that execute analytical reasoning over a multi-year proprietary fleet-data asset, with strict multi-tenant isolation.
Engineer real-time, streaming experiences (WebSocket) and the autonomous background pipelines that run overnight analysis at scale.
Design and consume RESTful and event-driven internal APIs; build robust, observable, cost-aware services.
Research new models, frameworks, and techniques, and bring ideas for technical and process improvements to the team.
Participate fully in continuous code review. The whole team owns quality for the whole project.
Work closely with QA/SDET and DevOps so your code moves smoothly through evaluation, testing, and deployment, and take ownership of it after it reaches production.
The remaining ~15%, breadth across the platform:
Contribute to the broader SOFICO Intelligence platform and, where it intersects, the wider SOFICO engineering environment, helping connect the AI layer to the systems and data it relies on.
Help raise engineering standards consistently across the combined group.
Why this role matters
Real AI work. You'll build a production multi-agent system, not a demo, on one of the more interesting problems in software right now.
Real ownership. You'll work on systems that matter, with the autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions.
Real impact. Your code helps customers recover real money and manage risk in their fleets. The product reaches the real world, and you will see the effect.
Strong technology and team. Modern Go services, LLM orchestration, a multi-year proprietary data asset, and engineers who have run at scale for years.
Your skills and interests
You do well in collaborative problem-solving environments, and you prefer coding and collaborating over sitting in meetings. You take pride in seeing the product you worked on reach real users. You can prioritize your own work while working closely with a team, and you give and take constructive criticism well. You are curious about AI and want to build systems that reason.
Required qualifications
A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your coding proficiency, eye for quality, understanding of security, and attention to performance (e.g. GitHub profile, public projects, or blog).
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
Comfortable across multiple languages (Go, JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, etc.).
Experience building web/backend applications proven in production to scale horizontally.
A preference for clean, modular, well-tested code.
Experience with RESTful API principles and a working knowledge of common authentication/authorization practices.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases in production.
Preferred qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Go, Node.js, and/or Python.
Interest or experience in LLMs, agents, or AI systems, such as building with model APIs, tool-calling, orchestration, or retrieval.
Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Event-bus architectures such as AMQP (RabbitMQ) or Kafka.
Data stores and warehouses such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Ember, or Angular.
Familiarity with enterprise back-office or ERP environments, including Java back-ends and relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres), is a plus for cross-platform work.
What you'll work with
AI & data platform: a production multi-agent AI system built on Go microservices, LLM orchestration, and a multi-year proprietary fleet-data asset.
Languages: Go primarily, with Python and JavaScript across the stack.
Data & infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
APIs: RESTful and real-time WebSocket / streaming interfaces.
Ways of working: true Agile, continuous code review, and frequent releases to production with strong CI/CD.
