Job description

Lead Product Manager Location: Austin, TX - in person Reports To: TBC About inKind inKind is transforming the restaurant industry by combining fintech, technology, and hospitality. We provide restaurants with innovative growth capital and customer acquisition solutions while helping millions of diners discover and enjoy great restaurants. We're scaling through Pods: small, autonomous, cross-functional teams that operate like startups within the company. Each Pod brings together Product, Engineering, Data, Design, Growth, and business expertise to solve meaningful problems, move quickly, and deliver measurable results. We're looking for entrepreneurial leaders who thrive in ambiguity, think like business owners, and love turning ambitious ideas into real-world impact. Position Summary As a Lead Product Manager (Pod Lead), you'll own the execution and success of a cross-functional Pod, translating company strategy into meaningful business outcomes. This isn't a traditional Product Management or people management role. You'll operate like the GM of a small startup within inKind, setting priorities, making decisions, removing obstacles, and empowering your team to build, experiment, and deliver. Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership, you'll have the autonomy to drive execution, challenge assumptions, and ensure your Pod focuses on what matters most. Your success won't be measured by how much your team ships, but by the impact it creates. What You'll Own Strategy Execution: Translate company priorities into clear objectives, actionable plans, and measurable outcomes. Identify high-impact opportunities across Product, Growth, AI, and business operations. Balance speed, quality, customer experience, and commercial impact. Partner directly with executive leadership to adapt strategy as the business evolves. Pod Delivery: Own your Pod's execution, prioritization, and delivery cadence. Drive planning, standups, demos, and retrospectives without unnecessary process. Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and keep the team moving. Ensure the Pod consistently launches, learns, and delivers meaningful results. Prioritization & Decision Making: Make high-quality decisions with incomplete information. Prioritize opportunities based on customer value, business impact, and available resources. Allocate work effectively across the Pod. Challenge assumptions, navigate trade-offs, and know when to build, iterate, or change direction. Team Leadership: Build a high-performing, collaborative team with a strong sense of ownership. Empower specialists across disciplines to do their best work. Coach team members, provide feedback, and establish clear expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, continuous learning, and execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Design, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and commercial teams. Build alignment across Pods and business functions. Resolve challenges quickly and keep teams focused on shared outcomes. Connect technical execution with customer needs and business priorities. Executive Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for Pod progress and performance. Communicate results, priorities, risks, and trade-offs clearly. Present product demonstrations, business insights, and recommendations. Keep leadership informed while maintaining autonomy and speed. What Success Looks Like Own outcomes, not just roadmaps — deliver measurable customer and business impact. Build and ship quickly — turn ideas into experiments, products, and improvements. Think commercially — understand how decisions affect growth, revenue, and profitability. Lead through influence — bring talented people together without relying on hierarchy. Make smart trade-offs — focus resources on the highest-impact opportunities. Create momentum — remove friction, adapt quickly, and continuously improve team performance. Qualifications Required Extensive experience across Product Management, Growth, Strategy, Engineering, or business operations, with a track record of increasing ownership and impact. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex initiatives from strategy through execution. Demonstrated success building, launching, or scaling products, businesses, or new initiatives with measurable results. Strong Product judgment and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect customer needs to business outcomes. Experience using data, experimentation, and business metrics to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and measure success. Strong technical fluency and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, understand technical trade-offs, and make informed Product decisions. Ability to operate independently, make decisions with incomplete information, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, including experience influencing without formal authority. Preferred Experience in high-growth startups, marketplaces, fintech, consumer technology, or B2B2C businesses. Founder, general management, or business ownership experience, including responsibility for revenue, growth, or unit economics. Experience building 0→1 products or scaling products through rapid experimentation. Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools, automation, or AI-powered products to accelerate development and execution. Experience leading small, autonomous, cross-functional teams. Familiarity with SQL, Product analytics, A/B testing, or other data-driven decision-making tools. Why Join inKind? At inKind, you'll have the opportunity to operate like a founder within a rapidly growing fintech company, with the resources, talent, and scale to turn ambitious ideas into reality.
