Standard Job Description
Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future.
At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We’re creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision. We’re erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We’re advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.
Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.
Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies? Tactical Strike Weapon Systems (TSWS) is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities that include advanced Hypersonic Technology, Glide Body Strike technology, and other key technology insertions. The early design and engineering phase provides you with tremendous career growth potential along with meaningful assignments to stretch and hone your expertise. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) and Army Hypersonic Programs (AHPO) partners to field several future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.
As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will plan and execute the integration and test program for a portfolio TSWS program by providing the program with key technical solutions. You will develop test plans, implement tests, develop test documentation, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. The execution of this program will require this individual to lead/support various Flight Test and Ground Test events as the Certified Test Conductor (CTC) where travel and alternate-shift work, sometimes frequent, will be required. As a CTC you will lead test efforts, including test equipment specification and system element simulator development, to ensure mission success for systems integration on DDG-1000 (Zumwalt-class) destroyers and SSN (Virginia-class) submarines.
Anticipated travel for this position is expected to be 30-50% of the time.
