Job Description
Azure Cloud and Network Architect
Contract (Part Time -20 to 30 hour per week)
Remote (United States-West coast to Central preferred)
15+ years experience
Responsibilities
Assessment lead; Resource Graph and Cost Management analysis; commitment (reservation and savings plan) model staged by usage; tagging standard and Azure Policy; show back design; backlog prioritization; Phase 2 technical lead.
Network and dependency map; nonproduction hygiene (VM schedules, SKU rightsizing, orphaned disks, IPs, NICs); snapshot lifecycle; Rubrik retention tiers and cold storage; zone redundancy and DR design (app tier and data plane).
Must have
15+ yrs Azure; hands-on FinOps (reservations, savings plans, Cost Management exports); has run large estate cleanups.
Azure networking (VNets, private endpoints, NSG, Firewall); Bicep or Terraform; backup and DR; Rubrik a plus; FedRAMP environment experience.
Good To Have
Log Analytics table plans (Basic and Auxiliary) and retention; Application Insights sampling; diagnostic settings by environment; Sentinel ingestion review; App Service plan and container sizing for Fortify, Certified and ephemeral environments.
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights, Sentinel cost management; App Service and AKS operations.
