Job description

ABOUT AKUVO Collections is one of the last corners of banking still running on decades-old technology — green screens, batch files, and software that punishes the people using it. AKUVO exists to fix that. We build a cloud-native collections and delinquency management platform for banks, credit unions, and collection agencies. Our platform replaces legacy systems with modern workflow, behavioral risk scoring, and a growing suite of AI products — including an AI assistant that preps collectors before every call and AI-powered borrower engagement — that are live and in the market today, not on a roadmap slide. The timing matters. Banks and credit unions are staring down rising delinquency, aging technology, and pressure to do more with smaller teams. When we get in front of the right institution, the pain is real and the story tells itself. Your job is to get us in front of them. We're a growth-stage company, which means the wins are visible, the feedback loop is fast, and the people who help build this thing get to grow with it. LOCATION This is a hybrid position requiring onsite attendance in Malvern, PA at least three days per week. Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, Delaware, NJ and within a reasonable commuting distance of the office at the time of hire. Relocation assistance is not available. THE ROLE This is a pipeline-building role — and a deliberate on-ramp to a bigger sales career. Your job is prospecting the bank and credit union market: identifying the right institutions, starting conversations, and booking discovery calls that turn into a pipeline. For our Signature platform and AI products, you get the meeting on the calendar and sales leadership takes it from there. Your job is opening doors, and it's the hardest and most valuable skill in sales. Nobody closes what nobody opened. You won't just be working the phones. You'll be out in the industry — at conferences and events, meeting the people who run collections and lending at institutions across the country, learning how this world works from the inside, and finding your own voice in it. The relationships you build there become the pipeline you own. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and follow-up on marketing campaigns • Represent AKUVO at industry conferences and events — pre-event outreach, on-site conversations, and the follow-up that turns a handshake into a meeting • Respond to inbound inquiries quickly and professionally, and qualify which conversations are worth pursuing • Book discovery calls for Signature and AI opportunities and hand them to sales leadership with clean context on who the prospect is and why they took the meeting • Keep your pipeline clean and current in HubSpot so forecasting reflects reality • Bring what you're hearing in the market back to the team — your conversations shape our messaging and roadmap WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR There's no single background for this seat. Maybe you're early in a sales career and eager to build a foundation the right way. Maybe you've spent years inside a bank or credit union — in lending, collections, member service, operations — and you know this world from the other side of the table. If sales is calling and you're willing to learn the craft, that industry knowledge is a serious head start here. • Drive and coachability beat pedigree - we can teach the sales motion to someone who brings the work ethic • Banking, credit union, or financial services experience is a real plus; you'll be talking to people whose world you already understand • Comfort on the phone and in the inbox - prospecting is the core of this job, and you have to actually like the hunt • Genuine curiosity: you ask the second and third question instead of pitching at the first sign of pain • Excellent written and verbal communication; you're credible talking to a bank or credit union executive • Self-motivated and organized — you run your territory like it's your own business • Willingness to travel for industry conferences and events • Enthusiasm for learning a real product deeply. The people who win here know what they're selling. • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or relevant experience in banking, credit unions, or collections, is preferred WHAT YOU’LL GET • A seat at a fast-moving, growth-stage company where your work is visible and your wins get noticed • On-target earnings of $110,000–$125,000 (base salary plus commission) • A real career path — the opportunity to grow into running your own book of business • Travel to industry conferences and events — build your network and your name in a space most people never see • A genuinely great team behind you: product experts, sales enablement, and leadership that's in the deals with you, not watching from a dashboard AKUVO is an equal opportunity employer.
