Job description

Immuta is the Data Authorization Company, helping the world’s largest organizations control who, and what, can access their data. The way enterprises access data is fundamentally changing. Organizations are racing to put data to work across analytics and AI, while AI copilots and agents are emerging as an entirely new class of data consumer. Traditional approaches built around tickets, static permissions, and manual approvals were not designed for this speed, scale, or complexity. Immuta provides the authorization layer for modern data and AI. Our platform enables organizations to provision governed access to data by policy, by request, and dynamically for AI agents, so people and AI can access the data they need while enterprises maintain security, compliance, and control. For Chief Data Officers, that means making enterprise data dramatically easier to access and use without giving up governance. For AI leaders, it means giving AI agents secure, governed access to enterprise data so they can move from experimentation into production. Founded in 2015, Immuta is trusted by Fortune 500 companies and government agencies worldwide. Our technology ecosystem includes Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Okta, ServiceNow, Teradata, Alation, Atlan, and Starburst — connecting Immuta to the data, cloud, identity, and enterprise platforms powering modern data and AI environments. Immuta has been recognized by Forbes as a top American startup employer, by Inc. Magazine and Built In as one of the best workplaces, and by Fast Company as one of the world’s most innovative companies. Immuta has raised $263 million from investors including NightDragon, Snowflake, Databricks, ServiceNow, Citi Ventures, Dell Technologies Capital, DFJ Growth, IAG, Intel Capital, March Capital, Okta Ventures, StepStone, Ten Eleven Ventures, and Wipro Ventures. We operate as a hybrid workplace with offices in Boston, MA; Columbus, OH; and College Park, MD. ABOUT THE TEAM Immuta’s Finance organization is a key strategic partner in our mission to make data secure, accessible, and trusted for every organization. Within Finance, the FP&A team drives forecasting accuracy, financial reporting, and strategic insights that fuel Immuta’s continued growth as a global SaaS leader. We work cross-functionally to provide data-driven recommendations that optimize performance, allocate resources effectively, and maximize profitability. Joining FP&A means helping shape Immuta’s financial future while collaborating with executives and cross-functional leaders in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. ABOUT THE ROLE As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll support and increasingly own recurring financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities that help Immuta make informed business decisions. You’ll have broad exposure to the business and the opportunity to work across multiple areas of Finance rather than being limited to a single process. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you’ll work with FP&A, Accounting, Recruiting, and business partners to improve visibility and accuracy in financial planning. This role is designed for someone who has a professional foundation in accounting, FP&A, financial analysis, or a related area. You’ll apply your understanding of financial statements and business drivers while building deeper expertise, and growing your ability to turn financial and operational data into clear insights. The role has the potential to be remote and is well suited to someone who can manage competing priorities, work through ambiguity, and deliver accurate analysis under tight timelines. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Support annual planning and quarterly forecasting cycles by collecting inputs, preparing analyses, and documenting assumptions, and identifying changes that may affect the forecast. Prepare recurring budget-to-actual reporting for assigned departments, including Sales, and investigate significant variances across headcount, operating expenses, and other financial drivers. Build, maintain, and improve financial models, schedules, and scenario analyses using Google Sheets, Excel, and other financial planning or reporting tools. Track selected SaaS and operating metrics, identify trends, and summarize insights for Finance leadership and cross-functional partners. Reconcile financial and operational inputs with business partners to improve data quality and reporting accuracy. Contribute to the improvement of FP&A processes, systems, documentation, and reporting workflows for consistency as Immuta scales. Support ad hoc financial analyses, scenario modeling, and short-turnaround requests that inform business decisions and other strategic Finance priorities. Develop and maintain AI-enabled reporting and automation workflows in Dust, including sales reporting, sales efficiency analysis, and dashboards used by senior leadership. Maintain accurate Sales pipeline reporting and help evaluate pipeline integrity, stage progression, pipeline coverage, conversion trends, bookings or revenue assumptions, and other sales efficiency indicators. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional Experience: Approximately two or more years of professional experience in FP&A, accounting, financial analysis, business analysis, or a related finance role. Financial Foundations: Working knowledge of financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, as well as core concepts related to assets, liabilities, expenses, and operating results. Financial Analysis: Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, financial reporting, financial models, schedules, or scenario analyses. Technical Skills: Working proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel, including formulas, lookups such as VLOOKUP or comparable functions, QUERY functions, IMPORTRANGE or comparable data connections, pivot tables, and organizing data from multiple sources. Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM is helpful. Analytical Skills: Ability to validate inputs, identify trends and variances, investigate inconsistencies, and translate quantitative information into clear business insights. Communication & Collaboration: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to Finance and non-Finance audiences and build effective cross-functional partnerships. Mission Values: Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables, while managing changing priorities, respond to short-turnaround requests, learn new processes and systems, and remain effective in a fast-paced environment. BENEFITS At Immuta, our goal is to help bridge the gap between personal and professional growth, so that our team members can be well and thrive personally and professionally.
