Job description
Job Description:
The New York Post is one of America’s most iconic and recognizable news brands: delivering bold journalism, industry-leading entertainment coverage, and innovative digital experiences to millions of readers every day. With a legacy built on fearless reporting and a distinctly New York attitude, The Post has evolved far beyond its print roots to become a modern media powerhouse. Today, the New York Post Digital Network reaches millions of readers each month across an expansive portfolio of brands, including NYPost.com, PageSix.com, Decider.com, and The California Post.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of digital product initiatives across the New York Post Media Group. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this highly collaborative leadership role will oversee a small team of Product Managers while remaining hands-on in the development and execution of product strategy.
This is a highly visible, stakeholder-facing role for a product leader who understands both product and the business. The Director will partner closely with Editorial, Audience Development, Engineering, Design, Data, Revenue, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to identify opportunities, establish priorities, and build digital experiences that grow audiences, deepen engagement, and drive measurable business impact.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic product leader and a hands-on, scrappy operator; someone who can think big and define long-term product vision while also rolling up their sleeves to write user stories, prioritize backlogs, analyze performance metrics, solve problems creatively, and partner closely with engineering teams to move ideas from concept to market. They are equally comfortable presenting product strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations to senior stakeholders as they are working directly with their team to bring ideas to life. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable navigating ambiguity and competing priorities, and know how to find practical, resourceful ways to get things done without losing sight of the bigger picture.
