Job description

Why This Role Exists The F&I Office is where a car deal actually makes money. It is the moment a shopper becomes a buyer, where the right loan, the right products, and the right presentation turn a thin deal into a profitable one or leave thousands of dollars on the table. Get it right and the dealer wins, the buyer trusts the process, and the lender keeps saying yes. Get it wrong and profit, compliance, and trust all walk out the door. But the deal is not finished when the customer signs. It is finished when the lender funds it and the paperwork holds up. Every missing signature, wrong disclosure, or out-of-order document turns into a funding delay, a chargeback, or a lawsuit the dealer never saw coming. Clean, compliant contracts protect the dealer's cash flow and the dealer's name. A2Z Sync is an Amazon partner and AI-native platform that runs digital retailing, desking, F&I, and e-signature for dealerships processing $2B+ in vehicle transactions every year. We are rebuilding the F&I experience as a single, AI-native workflow that spans lender matching and submission, a smart menu that recommends the right products on every deal, and a contract management system that guards the full deal jacket from first signature to lender funding. This is the Sr. Product Manager-Technical role at the center of that work. Scope & Scale • $2B+ in vehicle transactions processed on the A2Z Sync platform each year. • A dedicated squad (PMT + Tech Lead + TPM triad) focused entirely on lending, F&I menu, and contract management. • Product surfaces spanning lender matching, credit decisioning, menu presentation, contract generation, and the full deal jacket lifecycle from first signature through lender funding. • Active lender, aftermarket product, eSignature, document, and lender funding partner relationships covering submission specs, decisioning flows, invoice reconciliation, and signing integrations. • F&I workflows used by dealers and F&I directors across every active dealership on the platform. What You'll Own Product Strategy and Vision • You own the product vision and roadmap for lending, F&I menu, and contract management products, grounded in dealer research, lender feedback, compliance requirements, and usage data. Every initiative traced to a measurable business outcome. • You own the P&L for the product line. You track revenue, inference costs, and margin at the feature level and use that data to drive roadmap prioritization, sunset decisions, and go-to-market pricing strategy. • You drive AI-first product thinking across lending, product, and contract workflows, defining how agentic architectures can optimize lender matching, credit decisioning, product matching, contract generation, and deal jacket validation, and how token consumption and model selection translate into cost-per-transaction. Technical Leadership and Architecture • You are a technical partner to engineering, not a spec writer who hands off and waits. You understand lender submission specs, credit decisioning flows, product and document schema architecture, deal jacket structure, eSignature flows, and lender funding requirements well enough to make scope trade-offs and own architectural decisions with your Tech Lead. • You participate meaningfully in design reviews. You identify when a technical choice creates compliance, lender relationship, funding, or deal integrity risk and push back on decisions that compromise regulatory posture, contract validity, or document integrity. • You surface technical debt and hold teams accountable to latency, reliability, and scalability as product requirements, not afterthoughts. Planning, Execution, and Delivery • You own a single backlog covering both current-state and next-generation work. You author Charter documents and PRDs with unambiguous acceptance criteria, translated into well-structured Jira EPICs. • You refine and prioritize the sprint backlog with your triad partners. • You define and monitor the KPIs that prove the product is working: lender approval rates, submission and document error rates, eSignature completion rates, time-to-fund, chargeback reductions, compliance audit pass rates, dealer NPS impact, and product MRR contribution. • You lead phased rollouts with feature flags, per-dealer enablement, and cohort-based graduation from shadow mode to production for AI agents. Cross-Functional Collaboration • You manage lender, aftermarket product, eSignature, document, and lender funding partner relationships end-to-end, ensuring submission specs, decisioning flows, contract and document formats, invoice reconciliation, signing integrations, and funding handoffs stay current and reliable. • You engage directly with dealers, F&I directors, and partners to validate product direction and translate insights into senior leadership-ready decisions. You drive cross-team execution with adjacent PMTs on deal handoff data contracts. • You present business reviews backed by market evidence. You distill ambiguity into reviewable options. You surface disagreements in writing before they become surprises in meetings. Hands-On Expectations This is not a "write requirements and wait" PM role. You will be in design reviews and architecture sessions with engineers, turning ambiguous dealer and lender problems into shipped products. Short feedback loops, real ownership, and direct accountability for the surfaces where the dealer makes money. What You Bring Must Have • 5+ years owning the full product lifecycle, with demonstrated ability to bridge market strategy and sprint execution. Proven track record defining product vision, building evidence-based roadmaps, and prioritizing competing opportunities. • 5+ years working with or for automotive retail dealerships, with deep understanding of F&I workflows, menu presentation, lender submission, deal jacket management, document compliance, eSignature workflows, and the lender funding process. • Experience building and shipping production AI-powered features or agent workflows beyond the demo stage, with measured outcomes. Understanding of tool-use patterns, prompt design, retrieval design, and the trade-offs in AI/ML systems or agent architectures. • Technical depth: comfort engaging with API integrations, data models, document workflow systems, event-driven architectures, and system architecture discussions. Strong command of Jira, including Epic and story authoring, sprint planning, and backlog refinement. • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing automotive F&I transactions — TILA, ECOA, state-level disclosure requirements — and consumer-facing AI (Colorado AI Act, CCPA ADMT, TCPA). Ability to translate compliance requirements into enforceable product rules and maintain audit readiness. • Excellent written and verbal communication. Produces clear PRDs, technical trade-off analyses, and strategy narratives. Translates complex lending, compliance, and AI concepts into compelling narratives for dealers, executives, and engineering teams. Strongly Preferred • Experience with aftermarket vendor management and F&I product optimization. • Hands-on experience managing eSignature, document, or lender funding partner relationships in a product capacity. How You'll Use AI A2Z is AI-native. We use Claude every day, and we expect you to as well. Concrete ways this role uses AI: • Define and optimize lender matching agents that evaluate deal structure, credit profile, and lender appetite in real time to surface the best submission path on every deal. • Shape menu optimization agents that recommend the right F&I products for each buyer — based on deal structure, vehicle, and historical performance data. • Co-deliver AI-powered credit decisioning features that reduce submission errors and improve lender approval rates. • Design prompts and retrieval strategies for agents that validate compliance across TILA, ECOA, and state-level disclosure requirements before deal submission. • Model token consumption and cost-per-transaction trade-offs when selecting AI architectures for lender matching and menu recommendation. • Use Claude daily for PRD drafting, lender analysis, dealer research synthesis, and executive narrative creation. You will not be replaced by AI. You will be the PM who ships the AI that makes the F&I office more profitable, more compliant, and more trusted, and that protects every deal from chargebacks and funding delays. Our Mission At A2Z Sync , we replace the friction of disconnected systems with the velocity of a single platform. We integrate digital insights with in-store operations to deliver transparent transactions that bring clarity to the car buyer and increased profitability to the dealer. How We Show Up — DRIVEN Six principles guide how we build, sell, and support one another. Together they spell DRIVEN — the mindset that moves us forward every day. • Dealership Obsessed. We measure success by the dealer's wins and the trust of their buyers. If it doesn't help them sell a car today, we don't build it. • Relentless Ownership. No lone wolves, no pass-backs. We own outcomes from start to finish and find solutions instead of excuses. • Invent with Purpose. We don't chase shiny tech. We replace guesswork with intelligence and ask 'so what?' before starting any project. • Value Every Perspective. Better Together. We check egos at the door and pull in viewpoints different from our own before deciding. • Evolve or Evaporate. Change is our constant. We learn faster than the competition and share lessons learned as openly as wins. • Now Over Next. Bias toward action. We launch fast at 80%, gather data, and improve tomorrow. Why A2Z Sync? We pride ourselves on cultivating a fun, casual, and collaborative workplace culture where your hard work is recognized, your contributions drive real results, and your impact is felt every day. At A2Z Sync, we're deeply committed to our employees' well-being, starting with comprehensive benefits designed to help you care for yourself and your family. Here's what we offer: • Base Salary: $155,000 – $185,000 +Bonus • Employer-Paid Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for you and your family starting on day one. • Flexible Work: Denver hybrid (2 days/week in office) or fully remote anywhere in the US. • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match: Build your future with our competitive matching program. • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Unlimited PTO and 10 paid holidays. • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage: Fully employer-paid. • Life and AD&D Insurance: Employer-paid coverage for peace of mind. • Free Mental Health Support: Access to confidential therapy sessions through BetterHelp. • Pet Insurance Options: Affordable plans for your furry family members. • Identity Theft Protection: Voluntary services to safeguard your personal information. • Other Cool Stuff: On-site gym in Denver, great co-workers, and a stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages to keep you fueled.
