Job description

SENIOR PRODUCT UI/UX DESIGNER 🎬 ABOUT OPENART At OpenArt, we’re building the future of visual storytelling. Our mission is to empower creators to bring their ideas to life through cutting-edge AI image and video generation. We’re at the forefront of a new wave of social media content—where creativity, storytelling, and technology come together. Joining our design team means you’ll have a direct hand in shaping how millions of people express themselves with AI. If you’re excited about creating intuitive, delightful user experiences that make advanced technology feel human and accessible, we’d love to talk. ✨ WHAT YOU’LL DO - Design the end-to-end UX for OpenArt products—from mapping user journeys to crafting clear and engaging interactions. - Act as the bridge between product and design, translating user needs and product requirements into elegant flows and experiences. - Partner with product, engineering, and research to define the product’s direction and prioritize the most impactful features. - Proactively think through different use cases and edge cases, anticipating user needs before they arise. - Bring clarity to ambiguity: ask the right questions, synthesize insights, and shape fuzzy ideas into actionable product requirements. - Create wireframes, prototypes, and designs that balance usability, creativity, and storytelling. - Contribute to OpenArt’s vision of making AI-powered creativity accessible, joyful, and empowering. 🍿 OUR CULTURE At OpenArt, we value: - Ownership & Impact – Everyone has a seat at the table. You’ll shape not just pixels, but product strategy. - Curiosity & Growth – We love asking “what if?” and embrace learning as part of the journey. - Collaboration & Openness – Ideas can come from anywhere. We thrive on feedback and co-creation. - Human-Centered Design – Technology should amplify creativity, not get in the way. 🔎 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR HARD SKILLS - Strong background in UX design and product logic—you think in systems, flows, and user journeys. - Ability to translate user research and feedback into clear requirements and intuitive designs. - Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows with tools like Figma or similar. - Solid UI design skills—you can deliver polished outcomes, but UX and product thinking are your core strengths. - Comfort navigating ambiguous product spaces, and helping bring structure and clarity. SOFT SKILLS - Product mindset—you think beyond design and care deeply about user needs and product outcomes. - Open-minded and collaborative—you thrive on iteration, feedback, and co-creating with others. - Proactive problem solver—you spot opportunities and propose solutions before being asked. - Growth mindset—you’re eager to learn, adapt, and evolve with the fast-changing world of AI. - Strong communicator—able to articulate design decisions and product reasoning clearly. 🤩 EXAMPLE IDEAL CANDIDATE - A “full-stack” designer who loves UX and product thinking as much as pixel-perfect UI. - Someone who’s equally comfortable mapping user flows as they are sketching prototypes. - Excited about working in a startup environment, wearing many hats, and shaping the product direction. - Passionate about storytelling, creativity, and AI—and curious about how new tools can empower human imagination. 🌍 LOCATION & WORK SETUP - Bay Area required (hybrid policy with 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.) - High collaboration with founders and global engineering team. - Visa sponsorship available. - Relocation Assistance provided, if necessary. 💖 WHY OPENART? This isn’t just another design role—you’ll be shaping how people everywhere dream, create, and share with AI. If you’re looking for a role where your design decisions have massive impact and where you’ll grow alongside a cutting-edge product, this is it.
