Job description

Enterprise Business Development Director Los Angeles / Hybrid | Travel Across the US Build something new. Own the strategy. Create long-term enterprise relationships. Are you an experienced enterprise sales professional who knows how to open doors, build genuine relationships and turn those relationships into significant commercial opportunities? We’re working with a growing technology and circular-economy business that is looking to appoint an Enterprise Business Development Director to build out a new enterprise sales function. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants more than an existing territory and a predefined sales playbook. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the strategy, develop major enterprise relationships and ultimately build a team around the opportunities you create. The Opportunity The business has built a successful brokering operation, but is now looking to evolve towards long-term, strategic enterprise partnerships for their ITAD Services. Rather than competing for one-off bids every time a customer has ageing or surplus technology, the goal is to develop multi-year relationships where the business becomes a trusted partner for managing, recovering and maximising the value of those assets. You’ll take ownership of this enterprise strategy from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for identifying the right organisations, opening senior-level relationships, understanding their challenges and developing commercial programmes that create recurring, predictable revenue for both sides. What You’ll Be Doing • Build and execute the strategy for winning new enterprise customers. • Identify and develop high-value target accounts across the US. • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across IT, asset management, procurement, technology and related functions. • Develop long-term commercial partnerships rather than relying on transactional, price-led bids. • Understand customers' asset lifecycle challenges and position tailored solutions around them. • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from initial relationship through to commercial agreement. • Build a predictable pipeline of recurring enterprise revenue. • Work closely with internal operational, technical and compliance teams to develop compelling customer solutions. • Provide strategic input into the development of the wider enterprise proposition. • Establish the foundations for a future enterprise sales team and determine the resources required to scale the function. • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and across the wider market. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is commercially driven, highly networked and exceptional at building relationships . You’ll ideally bring: • Proven success winning new enterprise business. • An established network of senior contacts within large organisations. • Experience navigating complex enterprise structures and buying processes. • Strong C-suite and senior stakeholder engagement skills. • A genuine relationship-led approach to business development. • The confidence to pick up the phone, get in front of customers and create opportunities. • A strong consultative and solution-selling approach. • Commercial instinct and the ability to identify significant revenue opportunities. • The entrepreneurial mindset to build something rather than simply manage an existing book of business. • Willingness to travel extensively to meet customers across the US. Why This Role? This is an opportunity to have genuine ownership over a new growth channel. You won’t be walking into a rigid sales structure with a predefined territory. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the enterprise strategy, leverage your network and determine how the function should develop. You’ll also have the infrastructure of an established operation behind you, including technical, compliance and operational specialists, allowing you to focus on what you do best: building relationships and winning business. As the function grows, there is a clear opportunity to build and lead a team around you. Package • Highly attractive, performance-based commission structure. • Significant earning potential on major enterprise wins, with $500k+ total earnings achievable for exceptional performance. • Relocation support available for the right candidate, including potential accommodation assistance. • Significant travel and customer-facing activity across the US. Location & Travel The role is ideally suited to someone who can be based in or relocate to the Los Angeles area . You’ll spend your first 1–2 months getting fully immersed in the business, building relationships with the internal teams and developing your strategy. Longer term, this is a highly customer-facing and travel-led position . Your time should be spent where the customers are — building relationships, developing opportunities and winning enterprise business. Ready to Build Something? If you’re an ITAD enterprise sales professional with the relationships, commercial instinct and ambition to build a new revenue stream from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
