Job description

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be working on a custom community platform built for personal development, coaching, courses, community forums, and daily engagement. The product is currently in private beta, with a near-term goal of being launch-ready by November 13 . This is an opportunity to join at an important stage: there’s already a substantial product and codebase, but plenty of meaningful engineering work remains before it is taken public. You’ll work directly with the engineer who designed and built the platform, owning features end to end and helping establish the engineering standards that'll carry into production. Responsibilities: • Assess the existing production codebase for security vulnerabilities, scalability and performance bottlenecks, architecture risks, data-protection concerns, and reliability issues, then prioritize and implement pragmatic improvements required for a safe, stable public launch. • Own features end-to-end from data modeling and architecture to building, deploying, and shipping them to customers. • Work across the full stack with a stronger backend focus, prioritizing system stability, security, scalability, and reliability while also owning and contributing to Vue.js frontend development. You will help make the platform look beautiful too. • Use AI coding agents to accelerate development while maintaining high standards for correctness, reliability, and maintainability. • Design, automate, and execute rigorous functional, regression, load, and smoke testing. • Identify and communicate technical risks early, while distinguishing genuine engineering concerns from personal preferences. • Design and evolve relational data models, PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, migrations, and Prisma models, with a strong understanding of relational database design and performance. • Working across integrations such as Stripe Connect, LiveKit, Twilio, Zoom, Anthropic, and pgvector. • 10-12+ years of software engineering experience, including strong production experience with Vue.js and deep hands-on experience with relational database design. PostgreSQL experience is preferred, and experience with Nuxt and Prisma is a plus. • Proven experience assessing production applications for security, scalability, and performance risks, with hands-on experience identifying vulnerabilities, protecting sensitive customer data, diagnosing bottlenecks, and implementing pragmatic improvements. • Regulated industry or high-volume e-commerce experience is a strong bonus because these environments naturally expose engineers to security, data protection, compliance, scalability, high transaction volumes, and large spikes in concurrent users. • Ability to quickly understand and contribute within an existing codebase and technical direction , identifying material risks and making pragmatic improvements rather than defaulting to unnecessary rewrites or redesigns. • Proven experience using AI coding agents on a production codebase to improve productivity, not replace thinking. • Extremely organized and self sufficient with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with changing requirements. • Excited to work in a startup environment with a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid high growth environment. • Proven experience working on entire features, from concept through to production deployment ensuring the feature is built and deployed in a timely fashion.
