Job description

ABOUT CIRCLEBACK Circleback is building the source of truth for everything said at a company–starting with best-in-class time.com AI meeting notes, action items, and search. Every company runs on conversations — meetings, calls, emails — but almost none of that context is usable after the fact. We’re building the platform that captures, organizes, and acts on all of it, so teams can actually use what they know. We're a small team backed by Y Combinator. Profitable, growing virally, and thousands of paying customers including PostHog, Browserbase, Gumloop, and more. WHY JOIN - We ship fast circleback.ai with a high bar for quality. - Small team, large problem: the category we're building didn't exist a few years ago. - Profitable and growing virally through word of mouth, not paid acquisition. - Build software people actually love circleback.ai and use every day. - Free lunch and dinners, competitive salary and equity. - Flexible health coverage and 401K matching. We're looking for a software engineering intern who takes pride in their craft to join us in San Francisco to build great software together in summer 2027. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build new features end-to-end, everything from database models to API endpoints and UI components for our web (React), desktop (Electron), and mobile apps (React Native) - Improve product foundations (AI-powered outcomes, search, Circleback Assistant, transcription, on-device recording/streaming, app and API performance, automations, and other new initiatives) - Apply learnings from customer conversations into product improvements WHO YOU ARE You have experience doing the above in previous roles or side projects, take pride in your work, value urgency and ownership, and find building exceptional software fun. Although a strong product sense is not required, we do expect high attention to detail and curiosity about how great products work. ABOUT THE INTERVIEW 1. Initial screen (30 minutes) 2. First online technical screen (1 hour) 3. Second online technical screen (1 hour)
