Job description

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Megazone Cloud is looking for a Software Engineer Co-op who is a "builder" at heart and eager to kickstart their career in a high-growth, global environment. You are passionate about deep-diving into software development, cloud architecture, and solving ambiguous, high-stakes technical problems. As a Co-op, you won't just be watching from the sidelines. You will be a key part of our internal and client-facing teams, contributing to technical discovery, designing full-stack solutions, and collaborating with our senior experts to execute a clear vision. You are a fast learner with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to see your code make a real-world impact. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Collaborate and Build: Work directly with senior engineers and our U.S. tech team to translate complex business requirements into functional software features and services. - Own the Full Stack: Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions, gaining hands-on experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go. - Be a Client-Facing Contributor: Participate in technical discussions and client meetings, effectively communicating progress on tickets, improvements, and deliverables. - Solve the Unsolvable: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. - Drive Modern Practices: Help implement monitoring solutions and lean into DevOps best practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. - Learn and Multiply: Actively participate in design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions, leveraging our "force multiplier" culture to level up your skills and the team’s output. WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIREMENTS) - Educational Foundation: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - Technical Curiosity: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and a strong grasp of programming/scripting fundamentals. - Cloud Ambition: Exposure to or a deep interest in major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data ecosystems. - DevOps Mindset: Foundational knowledge of DevOps practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. - Communication Excellence: Ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences and a desire to engage in a professional services/consulting environment. - Startup Mentality: A strategic "builder" mindset, a sense of ownership, and the agility to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. BONUS POINTS (NICE-TO-HAVES) - Previous internship or project experience in a Professional Services or consulting environment. - Experience with GenAI, MLOps, or specialized data tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake). - Relevant AWS or cloud-provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner). NOTE: We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position. WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE - Our Product is Our People: We live by this. We invest in people who invest in themselves. Your growth is our growth. - True Servant Leadership: Our CTO leads with a "force multiplier" philosophy. Management is here to empower you and clear roadblocks, not to micromanage. We won't ask you to do anything we're not willing to do ourselves. - Flat Organization, Real Impact: Your voice and designs will directly shape our technical roadmap and our clients' success. You'll work on the latest tech to solve real problems. - A "Learn-from-it" Culture: We're moving fast and building new things. We believe mistakes are learning opportunities, not failures. We seek diverse talent who are ready to make an immediate impact. We believe that innovation thrives when teams are built with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. If you are excited by this mission, we encourage you to apply, even if your experience doesn't perfectly match every qualification listed. Megazone Cloud is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all new hires.
