About the Role
Superhuman is hiring a Senior Growth Visual & Motion Designer to join its Growth Design team on a 6-month contract (40 hrs/week). You’ll lead the design and production of visual assets across the whole customer journey: web and SEO pages, in-product onboarding, in-product engagement and lifecycle moments, paywalls, new-feature moments and personalization. You’ll storyboard static and motion elements, create moments of delight, and use data from growth experiments to keep improving the work. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, marketers and the Brand Creative team to keep everything on brand and to a high standard.
They're looking for someone with 5+ years of visual design experience, advanced Adobe Creative Suite and Figma skills, and a strong portfolio of visual systems and production work. Motion graphics or product animation experience is a big plus. The role is hybrid, with hubs in San Francisco, Seattle, New York or Vancouver, and New York is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and execution of visual assets for web and mobile product experiences, product experiments, and growth design materials.
Develop and refine processes for intake, partnership, and visual asset production, and partner with Design Operations to socialize and scale systems
Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive and impactful design solutions, and adovicate for high quality design standards
Partner closely with product and content designers, motivating a culture of creativity, graphic excellence and visual support
Incorporate data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback to iterate on and improve designs
Create moments of user delight and personality. Storyboard and imagine how static and motion elements enhance user engagement
Partner with the Design Foundations and Brand Creative teams to develop, maintain, and advocate for design systems, style guides, and brand standards at the individual product and company level
Ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across user touchpoints
Share visual insights from growth experiments to design partner teams for collective knowledge building
Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and best-in-class craft
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of professional experience as a visual designer or in a similar design role
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
Strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of visual design projects, graphic design production, visual systems, communication design, and creative problem-solving
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience with motion graphics or product animation
Curiosity and hunger to learn and deepen product motion skills in the future
