As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll build the systems that power Kobalt's products, from the data models and APIs behind complex risk and compliance workflows to the infrastructure that powers our AI. You'll have significant ownership from day one, designing and building systems that need to be reliable, scalable, and flexible as our product and customer base grow. What You'll Do - Design, build, and operate backend systems that power Kobalt's core products and workflows. - Build AI-powered features that automate complex, historically manual risk and compliance work. - Own technical projects end-to-end, from architecture and data modeling through implementation, deployment, and iteration. - Build reliable APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure that support increasingly complex customer workflows. - Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems as Kobalt grows. - Work closely with other engineers and Customer Success to understand customer needs and turn them into technical solutions.
