Job description

About Roamly Labs & The Outdoorsy Group At the Outdoorsy Group, we’ve already revolutionized how people experience the open road. Now, at Roamly Labs roamlylabs.ai . The Labs is our dedicated innovation and incubation arm—we are building the next generation of intelligent infrastructure for the future of travel, mobility, and protection. Roamly Labs is where cutting-edge technology meets real-world application. We don’t just experiment with AI; we build production-ready, AI-native systems that solve massive, complex challenges across embedded insurance, autonomous mobility, and real-time telemetry. If you want to move fast, break paradigms, and build the future of the outdoor and mobility ecosystems, you belong here. The Role: AI Engineer (AI-Native Builder) We are seeking an extraordinary AI Engineer who is an AI-native builder at heart. You aren’t just a consumer of APIs; you possess a deep engineering foundation combined with a highly creative, driven DNA. In this role, you will architect, build, and deploy advanced Agentic systems that operate autonomously, reason through complex workflows, and seamlessly integrate with next-generation physical and insurance tech stacks. From building intelligent insurance agents to designing telemetry pipelines that interface with Full Self-Driving (FSD) systems, your work will directly define the technological frontier of Roamly Labs. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables • Design & Deploy Agentic Systems: Build multi-agent AI architectures capable of autonomous reasoning, task planning, and executing complex workflows in real-world scenarios. • Revolutionize Embedded Insurance: Develop AI-driven products through agents that power solutions we are innovating for the embedded insurance and autonomous mobility markets. • Pioneer Telemetry & FSD Integration: Architect highly scalable AI systems that process real-time vehicle telemetry, working seamlessly alongside Full Self-Driving (FSD) and autonomous mobility systems. • Rapid Prototyping to Production: Turn audacious ideas into functional MVPs within days, and scale them into robust, production-grade enterprise solutions. • Drive an AI-Native Culture: Stay on the absolute bleeding edge of generative AI, LLMs, computer vision, and reinforcement learning, injecting an innovative mindset into every layer of our tech stack. Who You Are (Candidate Profile) • The AI-Native Mindset: You think in terms of agentic workflows, embeddings, vector databases, and cognitive architectures. You view AI not as an add-on, but as the foundational core of modern software. • Strong Engineering DNA: You have a proven track record of shipping production-grade software. You understand the nuances of MLOps, LLMOps, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP). • Domain Curiosity: While you don’t need to be an expert in all of them today, you are deeply eager to master the intersection of InsurTech, autonomous mobility, and IoT/telemetry data. • Creative & Driven: You possess a high degree of autonomy, a bias for action, and the creative problem-solving skills required to navigate ambiguous, zero-to-one product spaces. • Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA, ready to collaborate closely with the team in our innovation hub. Requirements: • Claude Certified Architect • Experience in InfraCode/IaC (Infrastructure as Code) • Experience working with sensor fusion, geospatial data, Agentic systems or time-series telemetry from connected vehicles. • Deep familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) or custom-built cognitive loops. • A portfolio of side projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon wins that demonstrate your passion for building. **Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future (including OPT EAD or F1). We are unable to sponsor work permits or visas. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful residents (Green Card). What We Offer • The opportunity to shape the future of a multi-billion-dollar industry backed by the resources of the Outdoorsy Group. • A high-autonomy, low-bureaucracy environment designed for builders. • Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. • A vibrant workspace in Austin, TX, surrounded by a world-class team of innovators. Are you ready to build what's next? Apply to Roamly Labs today and help us drive the future of autonomous mobility and embedded insurance.
