Job description

ABOUT DUALENTRY Founded in 2024, DualEntry is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI startups. At DualEntry, the future of finance is being written today. ERP is one of the largest fintech markets in the world ($220,000,000,000+). Yet, tens of thousands of companies are still using on-premise systems, and the industry has not seen new entrants in more than 30 years. Our AI-native ERP lets accounting teams achieve more in less time. $5M-ARR businesses to NYSE-listed companies trust DualEntry to automate away manual data entry work with AI. We’re finally making the one-person finance team a reality and putting the pain of legacy ERPs from the 1990’s in the past. We operate with urgency and ownership. We move fast. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS NOW Since starting 18 months ago, we’ve raised $100,000,0000+ from world-class investors such as Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Contrary Ventures and Google Ventures, as well as more than 20 angel investors who’ve built, scaled, and exited some of the most impactful companies of the last decade. We got there by moving incredibly fast and hiring an exceptionally sharp, hard-working and deeply committed team from leading tech and accounting companies - Ramp, Meta, Microsoft, Lyft, PwC, Deloitte, J.P. Morgan, Bloomberg, Sage, Xero and Intuit. And some of us don't have a fancy logo on our resume and are here for a shot to prove ourselves. As our CFO, you'll own DualEntry's financial strategy end-to-end: planning, reporting, and the infrastructure that scales with us as we grow. You'll make sure capital is deployed intelligently and that leadership always has the financial clarity to make the right calls fast. Beyond that, you'll lead the initiatives that matter most - revenue operations, financial systems, and the strategic decisions that shape how we compete in a $220B market. You'll work directly with the CEO on capital strategy, headcount planning, and how we tell our story to investors and the board. We’re a small team, growing fast with huge momentum - join early. This is an intense, hands-on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar. 📍 Location: New York City HQ, 7 World Trade Center WHERE YOU'LL CREATE IMPACT - Own DualEntry's financial strategy end-to-end: from daily operations to long-term capital planning - Build and lead the finance function as a true business partner to the CEO and leadership team - Manage investor relationships and own all board and investor reporting - Own financial planning and analysis: budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling and KPI frameworks that give leadership real-time visibility into the business - Lead accounting, audit and compliance - GAAP reporting, tax strategy and audit readiness at every stage - Architect DualEntry's financial infrastructure: systems, controls, policies and workflows built to scale - Partner with GTM on pricing strategy, deal structuring and revenue recognition as we move upmarket - Work with Product and Engineering on resource allocation and headcount planning - Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities: partnerships, M&A and new market entry - Represent DualEntry to external stakeholders investors, banks, auditors and strategic partners - Build and develop a world-class finance team as we scale Nice to have - Experience as a first or early CFO at a Series A-C SaaS or fintech company - Familiarity with modern ERP and financial infrastructure - Prior experience in the accounting, ERP, or fintech space - Relationships with top-tier institutional investors WHAT SETS YOU UP FOR SUCCESS - 8+ years in finance, with meaningful time at a high-growth technology company - CPA or MBA preferred - Proven experience leading a fundraise - you've been in the room with VCs and know how to tell a compelling financial story - Deep expertise in SaaS metrics, revenue recognition and multi-entity financial operations - Strong technical accounting foundation: you can own the details while operating at the strategic level - High agency - you define the agenda rather than waiting for one - Exceptional communicator who can translate complex financials into clear narratives for boards, investors, and the full company - Operational rigor and the charisma to be a true leadership presence inside and outside DualEntry - Low ego, high ownership - Excited to work in-office 5 days/week WHY YOU’LL THRIVE HERE - Significant equity ownership in one of the top AI companies in the world - You’re joining early and will grow with DualEntry - Your feedback shapes the product directly - High-speed culture - High-trust environment with high expectations - Ambitious mission - ERP is one of the largest B2B software markets in the world ($220bn per year), this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build the next generation ERP in an industry that has not seen new entrants in 30+ years COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Equity: $100,000 - $150,000 - Base Salary: $250,000 - $290,000 - 15 PTO days + 12 public holidays - Full medical, dental & vision insurance - Commuter benefits - 401k benefits - On-site team culture - high collaboration, no bureaucracy We hire the best, expect the best, and give you the masterclass of your career - an archaic and huge industry like ERP only goes through a seismic shift like this once in a lifetime.
