Job description
ABOUT TRIBE AI:
At Tribe, we’re on a mission to help enterprises realize the value of AI for their business. Every large enterprise wants to use AI to transform how they operate — but many don’t have the capabilities to do it. That gap is our opportunity.
We’re an AI-native services company that helps enterprises build and deploy best-in-class AI products that deliver real business impact. We partner closely with OpenAI and Anthropic, giving us rare visibility into the most advanced models, roadmaps, and GTM strategies in the world.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Forward Deployed Staff Product Designer to craft elegant, intuitive experiences for AI agents and complex enterprise systems. You'll partner with forward-deployed PMs and client teams, translating AI capabilities into clear conversational flows and interactions. This role requires someone who can parachute into projects, contribute to discovery workshops, and prototype rapidly. You're comfortable with ambiguity and defining UX patterns for novel AI capabilities that don't have established conventions yet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Design & Delivery
- Lead design for AI agent experiences (chat and voice) — conversation blueprints, multi-turn flows, escalation paths, and error handling
- Map user journeys, design information architecture, and create wireframes that bring clarity to complex workflows.
- Translate abstract AI capabilities into approachable user experiences that drive adoption and trust.
- Simplify complex workflows and data interactions through clear, thoughtful design.
- Deliver clickable prototypes that visualize future-state product experiences for stakeholder validation.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Support discovery by contributing design expertise on AI agent patterns, interaction models, and conversation design
- Co-facilitate workshops with project teams to define user flows, agent behavior, and experience strategy
- Ground design decisions in user research, feedback sessions, and real-world constraints.
- Balance innovation with practicality — ensuring your designs can scale in real production environments.
- Contribute to internal design playbooks and reusable design systems that raise the bar across engagements.
ABOUT YOU:
- 6+ years of experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio spanning UX and visual design.
- Deep experience designing AI agent interactions — not just traditional UI, but conversation flows, multi-turn dialogs, and agent behavior patterns
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools (e.g., Lovable, Magic Patterns, Bolt, etc.); comfortable creating clickable, interactive demos.
- Strong systems thinker who can simplify intricate user journeys without sacrificing clarity.
- Adept at collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders; confident presenting to senior partners and executives.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and defining UX patterns for emerging AI technologies
- Experience working in agile environments and contributing to multi-disciplinary product teams. Bonus: Background in HCI, cognitive science, or experience with enterprise AI deployments
