Job description

About DeepInfra DeepInfra is building the foundation for companies to use modern AI in production — simply, reliably, and at scale. Our team has deep experience building large systems that serve hundreds of millions of users, and we’re bringing that same level of rigor to a rapidly evolving AI inference space. Our mission is to make advanced AI available to people and teams everywhere. We’re an early, tight-knit team where you can influence product direction, try bold ideas, and drive meaningful work forward quickly. If you want to join a fast-growing company at a defining moment, we’d love to talk. DeepInfra is backed by leading investors including A.Capital, Felicis, 500 Global, Georges Harik, Samsung Next, Supermicro, Upper90, Peak6, SVAngel, and NVIDIA. Role Overview We are looking for a Director of FP&A to build and lead financial planning and analysis at DeepInfra. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the economics of AI inference — from GPU capacity and data center commitments to token-level pricing and customer usage — and turn that understanding into the plans, forecasts, and insights that guide how we grow. You’ll own the consolidated financial model, lead planning and board reporting, and help shape how we evaluate and finance long-term infrastructure investments. You’ll work closely with our co-founders, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to make foundational decisions about where we invest and how we scale. We’re looking for someone rigorous, commercially minded, and equally comfortable building a model from scratch, digging into the underlying drivers of the business, and communicating insights to senior leadership and the board. What You’ll Do Analytics & Insight • Unit Economics: Develop a deep understanding of DeepInfra’s unit economics — including compute cost, GPU utilization, pricing, and margins across models, products, and customer segments — and translate your analysis into actionable insights and recommendations. Corporate Planning • Consolidated Financial Model: Own the integrated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow model. • Forecasts & Budgets: Lead rolling forecasts, operating budgets, and headcount planning. • Revenue & Bookings: Build and maintain revenue and bookings forecasts that reflect both self-serve usage and enterprise commitments. Board & Investor Reporting • Executive Dashboards: Architect monthly operating dashboards that give leadership a clear and timely view of business performance. • Board & Investor Reporting: Build financial materials for board meetings and investor reporting. Systems Architecture • Scalable Tooling: Implement and automate FP&A, BI, and reporting infrastructure to reduce manual data extraction and enable faster, more scalable reporting. • AI-Enabled Finance: Use AI and automation to improve the speed and efficiency of planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Vendor & CapEx Commitments • Infrastructure Diligence: Lead financial diligence on major vendor and CapEx commitments, including lease-vs.-buy analyses. • Capital Planning: Build structured debt and equity capacity models to evaluate how we finance long-term infrastructure investments. What You Bring • Experience : 8+ years of relevant experience across FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or related finance roles. Experience in a high-growth technology company is strongly preferred. • Modeling Depth : Exceptional financial modeling skills, including three-statement modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis. You can build a model from scratch and clearly explain and defend the assumptions behind it. • Business Acumen : Strong ability to understand complex business models, identify their key economic drivers, and translate operational data into financial insights. Experience with cloud infrastructure, usage-based, or capital-intensive businesses is a strong plus. • Strategic Finance : Experience evaluating significant investments, CapEx, financing, or other strategic financial decisions is a plus. • Executive Communication : Ability to turn complex financial analysis into clear, decision-useful narratives for senior leadership, boards, and investors. • Systems Mindset : Experience working with FP&A, BI, or financial reporting tools, with a strong interest in using automation and AI to improve how finance operates. How We Work Three traits define the people who thrive here, and this role leans on all three. Initiative . We take ownership and step in where we can add value. Whether it’s starting something new, improving what exists, or helping move ideas forward, we aim to be proactive and thoughtful in how we contribute. Drive . We’re energized by hard problems. Building AI infrastructure is complex, and we lean into that. We care about doing things well, moving fast, and continuously improving — because solving meaningful challenges is what motivates us. Grit . Things don’t always work on the first try — and that’s expected. We stay persistent, adapt quickly, and learn as we go. We take setbacks seriously, but not personally, and use them to get better.
