About Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington
Girl Scouts builds girls* of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girls in grades K–12 try new things, take on challenges, and discover what they're capable of. They explore STEM, camp under the stars, run their own cookie businesses, and lead projects that make their communities kinder. Along the way, they find friends who cheer them on and a place where they can truly be themselves.
Across Oregon and Southwest Washington, girls join the fun in troops, at camp, at local events, and on their own, guided by dedicated adult volunteers. Our staff make that possible. We support volunteers, create programs, run camps, and keep the council running so every girl has a place to belong.
Our culture and values guide how we work together to deliver on our mission:
Joy : We make space for joy every day and build a workplace where everyone is genuinely glad to be here.
Inclusion : We listen with curiosity, remove barriers to participation before being asked, and keep learning how to better serve every community.
Integrity : We follow through, treat everyone equitably, and speak up when something isn't right.
Agency : We trust each other with real responsibility and make sure every voice helps shape what happens next.
Mission-Driven : We connect our daily work to outcomes for girls and co-create solutions with the communities we serve.
We're building a workplace where everyone can contribute, grow, and belong, and everyone on our team helps create it through ongoing learning, reflection, and action.
*We use the word "girl" expansively and welcome all youth from kindergarten through 12th grade who see our girl-centered leadership experience as the right fit for them.
