Job description

At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. As Senior Product Manager of Document Management, you will be responsible for agent-led content management, guiding customers through agentic workflows to generate and maintain documents and procedures tailored to their business. Today, this process is slow, manual, and often stressful for companies. These artifacts are foundational to how a company’s security program operates—requiring customers to interpret multiple compliance requirements, establish processes, and define how those processes run, all while ensuring they will meet auditor expectations. At the same time, when customers decide to take on a new framework, they need to quickly assess their program (controls, policies, procedures, documents) against those new requirements to understand the gaps and assess the body of work to implement that new framework. This is a manual, tedious process that many companies end up outsourcing to consultants. As Senior Product Manager for Document Management, you will work cross functionally to build an agentic solution to automate these gap assessments, helping customers more quickly achieve their security and business objectives by scaling to new frameworks faster. By guiding and automating the creation, editing, and management of content end-to-end, you will help customers dramatically shorten the path to audit readiness and scaling their compliance program, while building confidence that their processes and documentation are aligned to their business needs. What you’ll do as a Senior Product Manager at Vanta: - Own the agentic document, policies, and procedure creation and editing workflows, as well as agentic gap assessments - Help customers evolve their security programs by building Agent workflows for surfacing recommendations and completing relevant actions - Deeply understand our customers and market, and translate their needs into clear Agent experiences that solve real compliance challenges - Partner with design and engineering to establish consistent interaction patterns—across chat, inline actions, and background automations—that make the Agent reliable, explainable, and safe - Deliver high-quality products that addresses key customer pain points and establishes Vanta’s leadership in AI powered GRC solutions - Help define and shape Vanta’s product team culture as we grow How to be successful in this role: - Have 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality SaaS/B2B and AI products - Have strong technical skills and experience shipping AI products, including writing and iterating on prompts, evaluating outputs, and driving systematic quality improvements - Possess a customer-focused mindset– proactively reach out to customers, synthesize feedback, and partner with go-to-market teams - Be deeply curious, empathetic, and user-centric, with a knack for driving effective collaboration among diverse stakeholders - Communicate with clarity and influence—both written and verbal—with team members, stakeholders, and executives - Have a learner’s mindset, a genuine passion for building AI products, and the grit to experiment, iterate, and fail - Have a deep interest in and knowledge of the evolving AI/ML ecosystem - Be data driven– you lean into qual signals from users and can dig into the quant side to inform roadmap & prioritization - Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact. What you can expect as a Vanta’n: - Industry-competitive salary and equity - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans - 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parents - Health & wellness stipend - Remote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipend - Commuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC office - Family planning benefits - Matching 401(k) contribution with immediate vesting - Flexible PTO policy, plus 80 hours of Sick Time - 11 company-paid holidays - Virtual team building activities, lunch and learns, and other company-wide events! - Offices in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, Tel Aviv, and Sydney To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors and may vary based on candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. #LI-remote At Vanta, we are committed to hiring diverse talent of different backgrounds and as such, it is important to us to provide an inclusive work environment for all. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender identity, age, religion, sexual orientation, veteran or disability status, or any other protected class. As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage and welcome people of all backgrounds to apply. About Vanta We started in 2018, in the wake of several high-profile data breaches. Online security was only becoming more important, but we knew firsthand how hard it could be for fast-growing companies to invest the time and manpower it takes to build a solid security foundation. Vanta was inspired by a vision to restore trust in internet businesses by enabling companies to improve and prove their security. From our early days automating security monitoring for compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 to creating the world's leading Trust Management Platform, our vision remains unchanged. Now more than ever, making security continuous—not just a point-in-time check— is essential. Thousands of companies rely on Vanta to build, maintain and demonstrate their trust— all in a way that's real-time and transparent.
