Job description

ABOUT COVERBASE The foundation of the modern global economy is built on a dense network of counterparty trust and risk. In the past 50 years, companies have evolved from relying on a couple of wholesalers and vendors, to utilizing 100+ SaaS vendors, contract partners, and cloud providers. Since each counterparty has their own idiosyncratic internal processes and risk profiles, businesses end up spending millions of dollars and countless man-hours conducting due diligence. Coverbase’s mission is to streamline this business-to-business assessment, reducing human toil, and allowing organizations to work together safely and reliably. We employ modern AI techniques to organize vast amounts of unstructured data and compare them against policies to identify key risks to the business. We serve customers across Fortune 500 companies in insurance, higher education, and finance — including five of the top 25 banks in the US. Our proven leadership team brings deep experience: - Clarence (CEO): Co-founder & former CTO of Unit21, a Series C fraud detection company that has raised ~$92M. - Kao (CTO): Previously led the Stripe engineering team that launched Banking-as-a-Service. We’ve raised $20M from world-class investors and our team of 20 have built important products at Google, Mapbox and Waymo. ROLE EXPECTATIONS We’re building the next stage of Coverbase’s marketing engine and looking for a Senior Demand Generation Manager to help us create, capture and convert demand among enterprise buyers. This is not a role for someone who simply runs an established demand generation playbook. You’ll work closely with the VP of Marketing to identify our best opportunities for growth, build programs to reach them, and use what we learn to continually make the engine better. We’re looking for a hands-on builder who combines commercial instinct, creativity and analytical rigor. You should be equally comfortable developing an ABM strategy, building a nurture campaign in HubSpot, partnering with an AE on a target account, designing a compelling executive field event, or digging into the funnel to understand why something isn’t converting. The question you’ll continually help us answer is: How do we get the attention of the right buyers, turn that attention into qualified demand, and turn demand into pipeline? RESPONSIBILITIES Your role will be multi-faceted and dynamic, reflecting the early-stage nature of our company. - Build and execute integrated demand programs across ABM, field and events, paid, content, digital and sales-assisted channels. - Own and evolve our ABM motion, partnering closely with Sales on target accounts, buying groups, campaign strategy, outreach and follow-up. - Manage our paid media agency, setting priorities, evaluating performance, and ensuring the paid investment is driving results. - Build field programs that create real opportunities for engagement, including executive dinners, roundtables, conferences and other high-value experiences, from audience development through follow-up and measurement. - Partner closely with AEs and SDRs to turn marketing programs into qualified conversations and pipeline. - Own campaign execution and reporting in HubSpot. Understand funnel performance, conversion and pipeline contribution, and use the data to make better investment decisions. - Identify and test new ways to reach enterprise buyers. Bring ideas, experiment, learn quickly and scale what works. - Actively support the programs you build in market, including using LinkedIn to promote events, content and campaigns and engage the audiences we care about. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - 6+ years of experience in demand generation, growth marketing or a related B2B SaaS marketing role. - Demonstrated experience building programs that contribute to qualified pipeline, with specific examples and results you can share. - Experience marketing to enterprise buyers and navigating longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. - Strong experience with ABM, field/events and integrated demand programs. - Hands-on HubSpot experience across campaigns, lists, workflows and reporting. - Strong analytical instincts. You understand funnel performance and can connect marketing activity to pipeline and revenue. - Strong partnership instincts with Sales. You see demand generation as a shared revenue motion, not a lead handoff. - Self-starter with a builder’s mentality, comfortable with ambiguity and excited to test, learn and build. - Excellent communicator who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience marketing to security, risk, procurement or other enterprise technology buyers. - Experience in an early-stage or high-growth B2B SaaS company. - Experience reaching regulated industries or complex enterprise buying organizations. WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE UNIQUE Build, don’t inherit: You’ll be joining at a point where there’s real traction, budget and a strong foundation, but enormous room to determine what the demand engine becomes. Direct impact on growth: You’ll be close to the pipeline, the customers and the Sales team. You’ll see what works and have the freedom to act on it. A market that is changing quickly: AI is reshaping how enterprises think about third-party risk, and Coverbase is building a different approach to a category that has relied on the same processes for decades. Room to grow: This is an opportunity to build alongside the company and take on increasing ownership as the marketing organization scales. WHY JOIN US? - Strong product addressing a latent market demand: Our AI-driven platform is transforming third-party risk management (TPRM) for top-tier financial institutions. Customers describe it as “revolutionary” and “a joy to work with,” and we’re just getting started. Here’s what some of our customers had to say about our product, unprompted: - “This is a revolutionary product… Coverbase is the single biggest step forward in TPRM he’s seen in his career” - “You’re flipping the entire program upside down, we completed the risk assessment in 1.5 days… would otherwise have taken at least 3 weeks” - “Love how responsive you are, it’s been a joy to work with you guys.” - Early-Stage Impact: This is a rare opportunity to shape the trajectory of a company at the forefront of AI innovation. Your work will directly influence our success and define how we grow. - Collaborative Team: Join a tight-knit, mission-driven team that values kindness, creativity, and curiosity as much as expertise. You’ll work closely with the founders and an exceptional group of engineers. WHAT WE OFFER - Competitive compensation range of $150,000 - $170,000. - Meaningful equity. - Health insurance (100% employee / 80% dependents). - 21 days PTO. - In-person gatherings within the U.S. (travel covered) every 3-5 months. We’ll give plenty of notice for it, and cover flights and accommodation. We expect you to attend! - 401(k) with 4% matching. Location: Remote, US Reports to: VP of Marketing Coverbase Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
