Job description

About Us SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company, with a diversified portfolio of 5-star rated lifestyle solutions that positively impact people’s lives in homes around the world. Powered by two trusted, global brands, Shark and Ninja , the company has a proven track record of bringing disruptive innovation to market and developing one consumer product after another has allowed SharkNinja to enter multiple product categories, driving significant growth and market share gains. Headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts with more than 4,100 associates, the company’s products are sold at key retailers, online and offline, and through distributors around the world. AI at SharkNinja At SharkNinja, we’re building an AI-native culture. We’re not waiting for the future; we’re creating it. Our people are expected to experiment boldly, adopt new tools, and continuously raise what’s possible to create meaningful impact for our consumers. If you believe the best way to do your job hasn’t been invented yet, you’ll fit right in. WHO WE ARE SharkNinja makes Shark and Ninja products. We do not build products just to put more stuff on shelves. We build them to solve real problems for real people, and we engineer for it. Our vacuums do not blow what you just picked up back into the air. Our air purifiers take on rooms we deliberately make unbreathable. Our knives stay sharp after a thousand cuts. Our blenders, grills, water filters, and espresso machines are pushed beyond the point where other products quit. The Proof Demo Lab is the room we built to break things on purpose. High speed rigs, water, fire, dust, mess, and the gear to catch all of it at 1000 frames a second. It sits inside a brand new state of the art SN Studios facility in Irvine. This is your set. The innovation is real. The engineering is incredible. We are hiring the person who makes people see it. PRODUCT IS KING This is the one thing that is not negotiable. The product is the hero of every piece of content you make here. Not the location, not the talent, not the edit. The product, performing, in a way nobody can argue with. You start with a real consumer problem. You show our product solving it. You prove the performance on camera so clearly that the claim becomes unnecessary. Show it, do not say it. The people who thrive in this role think about product first and creative second, and they know those two things are not in conflict. The performance is the idea. Your job is to find the frame that makes that performance impossible to ignore. THE ROLE You own demo content end to end. Ideation, product testing, shooting, editing, and the version that goes live. You are not waiting on a brief and a locked script. You know the product, you know what it does better than anything else on the market, and you design the test that proves it. Then you shoot it and you cut it. You will have more than 35 product categories to work with, and we add more every quarter. You will never run out of problems to solve or content to shoot. The bar is simple. A stranger finishes the video thinking I did not know that was possible. SIX WAYS IN. NONE OF THEM BORING. These are the demo formats you will live in. They are starting points, not a checklist, and we expect you to invent a seventh. 01 The unlock. Make something nobody believes came out of a home kitchen, or a home at all. Not faster than doing it by hand. Possible in a way it simply was not before. 02 The head to head . Put ours next to whatever else is out there and let the footage settle it. Same test, same conditions, one camera. Show why ours wins . 03 The torture test. Push it past the point where it should fail. Then keep filming, because the part after it should have failed is the part people rewatch. 04 The mess . Food science, chaos, controlled disaster. If cleaning it up is the second half of the video, you already understand the assignment. 05 The object. These things live on a counter and people choose them the way they choose furniture. Colorways, styling, the pure satisfaction of the thing itself. 06 The everyday impossible . The chore that used to take an hour, done in a way that looks like a magic trick. Ordinary problem, absurd solution, real result. WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE Ideation Bring the ideas. You pitch the demo, you name the claim it proves, and you defend it in the room. Know the product line cold. The best demo ideas come from understanding what the engineering actually does . Start with the consumer problem every time. Ordinary frustration in, absurd proof out. Come with references. It is faster to show us than tell us. Testing and proof Design the test before you light it. Same conditions, repeatable, honest, impossible to argue with. You have run product to failure on purpose and know how to document what happened. Capture the before and after. Transformation is the fastest proof there is. Protect the demo in the edit. The moment the product does the impossible thing is the moment everything else serves. Shooting One person crew. You shoot it, you light it, you get the frame that proves it, on the day, without a second unit. High speed, macro, water, fire, food, dust, and mess. You have shot all of it and you are unbothered by getting soaked. Vertical first, and you know a vertical cut is a different film, not a different crop. Shoot modular. One setup should feed social, retail, ecommerce, and paid. Editing Premiere or Resolve at speed. Clean projects, sane organization , nothing lost. Build a hook that stops a stranger cold in the first two seconds. No logo, no wind up, no setup shot. Sound design carrying real weight. A motor spinning up should feel like something. Find the three frames that make the whole thing land, and the cut that makes someone send it to a friend. Deliver every ratio and length off one shoot . Sixty, thirty, fifteen, six, vertical, square, wide. Scale and results Build demos that travel. A great demo needs no translation. Your work runs in more than 30 markets, on retailer sites, in paid media, and on our own channels. Read retention curves like a director reads dailies. Find the second people left. Recut and repost. A video underperforming is a first draft, not a verdict. WHAT YOU BRING Real experience making product demo content. Brand, agency, creator, or your own channel. We care about the work, not the logo on it. A body of work where the product is the hero and the performance is the point. Proof you can ideate , test, shoot, and edit. This role is all four, not one of them. The nerve to hit record before the thought gets safe. Speed. Scrappy and now beats beautiful and next month, every single time. Volume without a drop in quality. Some weeks are one hero piece. Some weeks are twenty. A point of view you will defend, and the grace to lose the argument and shoot it the other way. Fluency in what makes people stop, save, and send. WHY THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT Real budget, real gear, and a leadership team that will approve the version that scares you. The Proof Demo Lab exists to break things on purpose. High speed rigs, water, fire, dust, and 1000 frames a second. You are not executing someone else’s brief. You bring the idea, you prove it, and it ships. No six week approval chain. Shoot it this week, live next week. You get a say in what we test next. The people making the demos see what is missing before anybody else does. We are not trying to make the best product demos in our category. We want the best anywhere. THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF Read it twice. We meant all five. 01 You need four rounds of approvals to feel safe. 02 You think vertical is a downgrade from real filmmaking. 03 You have never shipped something that scared you. 04 You want to be remote four days a week. 05 Your best work is three years old.
