TL;DR: Strala is looking for the top 0.1% operators to do the hardest job in AI-native services: enabling mission-critical AI to work for the world’s largest insurers. This is a high-stakes, customer deployment role where you own the intersection of technical architecture and executive alignment. You will live inside carrier environments and will bridge the gap between our engineering and the messy, political, and technical reality of large carriers to deliver undeniable ROI. If you are a technical athlete who can lead a war room of demanding executives and then dive into a data model to solve a bottleneck, this is the role.
Background: Strala is automating claims and improving loss ratios for the world’s largest insurers. We are rebuilding the $280B foundation of the world's largest industry with applied AI.
In less than a year, we have reached multi-seven-figure ARR. We raised two rounds from Tier 1 funds led by the early partners in OpenAI, Cognition, and Ramp. Our lean team is a concentrated unit of top tier competitors: the top industry sales leaders, engineers from DRW, Optiver, AWS, and Palantir; AI researchers from Oxford and Cambridge labs publishing at ICML, ICCV, and NeurIPS; and multiple ICPC and Olympiad winners.
In this role you will
- Own multiple client deployments from post-sale design through go-live and stabilization – and be the single point of contact for VP-level stakeholders throughout.
- Work with client teams on architecture, data models, workflow design, and source-of-record decisions.
- Turn messy client reality into clear plans: milestones, owners, risks, dependencies, and cadence. Communicate progress and blockers to client executives and internal engineering with equal precision.
- Build trust with senior stakeholders while going deep with operators and technical teams. You are credible in both rooms.
- Coordinate daily with Strala's engineering and sales teams – translating client needs into engineering priorities and deployment context into deal strategy.
- Partner with Sales on late-stage deals to shape scope and create paths to expansion.
SF-based. We believe building together in person drives better outcomes.
You will thrive if you
- Like being in the room with demanding clients and bringing order to ambiguity
- Can move seamlessly between technical detail and executive communication
- Think in systems, not tasks
- Have strong judgment, high standards, and real ownership
- Want to build a function, not just operate inside one
- Care about making every deployment excellent because every deployment changes how claims get handled in the real world
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years in roles combining technical depth, structured problem-solving, and client ownership
- Exceptional communication and client presence
- Strong structured thinking – you can break a complex implementation into a clear execution plan and drive it to completion
- High agency and high slope
- Likely backgrounds include: consulting / deployment / solutions / implementation in a high-performance environment; CS or similarly technical degree, software engineering internship or early engineering experience
- Claims experience is irrelevant. You do need to be genuinely technical, highly structured, and strong with clients
Values
- Ambition: We want to win, and we need to be the best
- Performance: Speed, system thinking, efficiency
- Ownership: When we see a problem, we take ownership of it, and we solve it
- Spirit: Clarity, optimism, meritocracy
We Offer
- Impact - Lead deployments at major insurers and Fortune 500s, improving a core workflow and directly growing ARR.
- Build - Help write the playbook, standards, and operating rhythm that define how Strala scales.
- Range - Combine technical depth, client ownership, and strategic problem-solving across every implementation.
- AI at the frontier - Deploy an AI-native system into a massive, complex industry where the product is live and the stakes are real.
- Team - Work in person in San Francisco with a fast, ambitious team that holds a very high bar.
- Zero barriers - We support top performance with paying all meals and any tools that materially increase productivity.
If you want to spend your career at the intersection of technology and client delivery - building things that work in the real world, not just on slides - we’d love to meet you.
