Job description
SALES DIRECTOR
North America
Heidi Health · New York, NY · In-Office
Who We Are
Heidi Health AI has been a global rocketship, and this is your chance to get in early but not too early.
We are a clinician-founded healthcare AI company building an AI Care Partner for doctors and health systems. Think Harvey or Cursor for the health care space. We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide. We partner with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
Heidi is a name brand in Australia, and now we’re scaling fast in North America. In a year, NA grew from essentially starting blocks to $22M ARR, on track for $36M by EOY and $97M in 2027. The product has 162% NRR: doctors that use us love us. We have a strong product-led growth motion feeding the funnel and are developing a killer marketing team providing air cover.
What You’ll Do
This is the rare sales role where the wind is already at your back. PLG is bringing signal every day. Marketing is generating air cover. Doctors love the product. Your job is to convert that into enterprise revenue — and build the team that turns the next $14M ARR into the obvious next slice of a $97M business.
- Own one of Heidi’s North America verticals end-to-end — primary care, institutional healthcare, or vertical specialties — and the revenue plan that takes it to $14M+ ARR.
- Build the team that gets you there: hire, ramp, and coach a squad of AEs selling into mid-market health systems.
- Personally lead strategic deals; carry a bag in year one as a player-coach.
- Sell the full Heidi product vision (an AI Care Partner that transforms clinical operations) to CFOs, hospital administrators, and clinical leaders who may only know Heidi as a scribe.
- Convert our PLG funnel into paid enterprise contracts, partnering closely with marketing and product to compound the signal we already have.
- Establish operating rhythms, forecasting discipline, and pipeline standards that let the team move fast with precision.
- Report directly to the GM, US and work in close collaboration with the global GTM leadership team.
What We’re Looking For
- A commercially credible sales leader who can recruit, grow, and coach a high-performing team — and still close the room on a complex enterprise deal.
- 7+ years of healthcare sales experience, with at least 2 years leading a sales team. Bonus if you’ve scaled an org from early traction through $10M+ ARR.
- Proven experience selling AI, clinical software, or workflow products to mid-market health systems; pediatric or primary care relationships are a strong plus.
- Deep familiarity with the realities of selling into regulated healthcare — compliance, security review, and procurement cycles don’t surprise you.
- A bias for velocity paired with the discipline enterprise healthcare demands — you know when speed wins and when precision matters more.
- We care less about the logos on your resume and more about the deals you’ve closed, the teams you’ve built, and how you think under pressure.
Other Things to Know
- This role is in-office in New York — we believe in the energy and focus of being in the room together.
- The scope is real: North America is a $22M ARR business on its way to $97M, and your vertical is a meaningful slice of that.
- Year one is a player-coach role. If carrying a quota while building a team doesn’t sound energizing, this isn’t the seat.
The Way We Work
1. Live Forever — We build for healthcare’s next decade, not next quarter. We set outrageous targets, lead healthcare forward, and follow the evidence — even when it’s uncomfortable.
2. Practice Ownership — Everyone here carries the company. We raise the bar on hiring and excellence, own the outcome end-to-end, and focus on what matters over process.
3. Move Fast, Fix Faster — The more we do, the more we learn. We ship atoms daily, learn from every release, and stay precise at pace — Heidi never goes down.
4. Get Better — The best clinicians teach. So do we. We live in clinicians’ reality, bring warmth to the work, and choose clarity over cleverness.
