About Belfry
At Belfry, we're reshaping how the $50 billion security officer services industry in the U.S. operates. Our mission is simple: empower back-office teams and officers in the field to achieve more through our operating system.
In just five years, we've become the system hundreds of security firms nationwide run their entire business on, from hiring and client management to operations, payroll, billing, and accounting. We're growing fast, we're winning a market that's barely been touched by modern software, and we're just getting started.
In a few years we've built what most companies take a decade to build: a full ERP for a security company, from recruiting and onboarding through scheduling, time and attendance, payroll, billing, and the general ledger, with an AI teammate on top. That breadth is our edge, and it's why we need a product marketer who's technical enough to get into the details of how it all works, and who can speak the language of security operators about why this industry needs one system instead of six.
The Role
Belfry is looking for its first Product Marketing Manager to own how we tell the Belfry story: who we're for, why we win, and what's new. You'll report directly to our CEO to start and join our Head of Marketing's team once that leader is in place. You'll work hand-in-hand with product, sales, customer success, and our Demand Generation Manager.
You'll define positioning and messaging for the platform and for each product line, run every launch from beta to GA, arm the sales team with the stories and proof they need to win against legacy incumbents, and bring what you learn from customers and the market back to the product team. You'll set the strategy, and you'll do the work.
This is a building job. There's no playbook to inherit and no team to delegate to yet. You'll operate with the autonomy and accountability of someone who's owned positioning, launches, or enablement end-to-end before, someone who brings ideas rather than waits to be told what to do.
What You'll Own
Positioning & Messaging
• Own Belfry's positioning and messaging architecture: the platform story, the story for each product line (scheduling, time and attendance, payroll and HR, billing and accounting, recruiting, and Belle, our AI teammate), and how they fit together.
• Define our ideal customer profile and personas with sales and CS, from the 50-officer regional firm to the national enterprise, and tailor messaging to each.
• Keep messaging consistent everywhere it shows up: website, decks, ads, email, product UI copy, and press.
Product Launches & Release Marketing
• Run the launch process end-to-end: tiering, timing, naming, pricing and packaging input, internal readiness, and external announcement.
• Partner with product and engineering to turn roadmap into narrative. Write the release notes, the launch email, the blog post, and the one-pager, and make sure sales and CS know what's shipping before customers do.
• Own the press release calendar and work with our PR partners on major announcements.
Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence
• Build and maintain the core sales narrative, first-call deck, demo storylines, and objection handling.
• Own competitive intelligence against legacy incumbents like TrackTik and WinTeam: battlecards, win/loss analysis, and displacement plays. Turn what we learn on lost deals into sharper messaging.
• Produce the proof: case studies, customer stories, ROI models, and reference programs that make the business case for switching.
Customer & Market Intelligence
• Talk to customers, prospects, and lost deals every week. Listen to Gong calls, sit in on demos, and ride along with CS. Bring what you hear back to product and GTM as a clear point of view.
• Track the market: industry associations, state regulation, incumbent moves, and adjacent categories that could become competition.
Content & Campaign Support
• Set the messaging and audience for the campaigns our Demand Generation Manager runs, and write or edit the high-leverage assets: landing pages, ad copy, nurture sequences, and webinar content.
• Use modern tools and AI to move faster: draft, test, and iterate on copy and assets without waiting on an agency.
Success Metrics
• Win rate and sales cycle length, especially in competitive deals against incumbents
• Launch performance: adoption and attach rate of new products and features in the 90 days after release
• Sales enablement adoption: usage of decks, battlecards, and case studies, and rep feedback on them
• Demo-to-opportunity conversion and lead quality, shared with Demand Gen
• Volume and freshness of customer proof: case studies, references, and win/loss reports shipped each quarter
What You Bring
• 4+ years in product marketing at a B2B SaaS company, with at least one product line or launch you owned end-to-end rather than supported
• Experience at a growth-stage company (Series A to C) where you had to build the function, not just run it
• Technical depth. You can get under the hood of a broad, multi-module product like ours, understand how scheduling flows into payroll and billing, and explain it in plain terms to a security operator who's never bought software before.
• Writing that's clear, specific, and fast. You can turn a messy product spec and three customer calls into a message that a sales rep can say out loud and a buyer will believe.
• A track record of enabling a sales team and moving win rates, not just producing assets
• Comfort talking to customers and prospects directly, and the curiosity to do it every week
• Comfort with ambiguity and a strong bias toward shipping over spec'ing
• Strategic and scrappy. You'll set the positioning and own the launch calendar, but you'll also write the landing page, build the deck, and cut the battlecard yourself.
• Hands-on experience with or advanced interest in pursuing AI-driven workflows
• Vertical SaaS experience preferred, especially selling to operations-heavy, field-based industries
• Experience marketing ERP, payroll, HR, workforce management, or fintech products is a plus
Benefits

• Real equity in a high-growth start-up, with a clear path to a meaningful outcome.
• Fully covered medical, dental, and vision.
• Unlimited PTO, actually used, plus 11 paid holidays.
