Job description

Citi's Securities Financing business sits at the heart of its market-leading Services division — a global franchise trusted by the world’s largest institutional investors, broker-dealers, and asset managers. It is receiving significant new investment, and we’re looking for talent who wants to help shape what comes next. We are rebuilding our lending platform from the ground up — engineering a best-in-class, next-generation infrastructure designed to power our global business and support ambitious product expansion plans across markets. This isn’t incremental change; it’s a genuine platform transformation, with the scale and mandate to match. If you want to help redefine what a modern securities financing platform looks like — and do it from inside one of the world’s most influential financial institutions — this is that opportunity. Responsibilities • Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Securities Finance digital products, owning the full lifecycle from ideation through to client adoption and continuous improvement. • Define what best in class looks like for the platform transformation. Translating those requirements into clear capabilities, epics and stories for our technology partners. • Act as Product Owner within Agile delivery teams, defining and prioritizing the product backlog and directing technology efforts to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. • Translate complex business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria across multiple concurrent workstreams. • Apply data and performance analytics to drive product decisions, identify revenue optimization opportunities, and reduce operational and financial risk. • Lead Target Operating Model design and transformation initiatives, including front-to-back process redesign and platform consolidation across the Securities Finance business. • Define and execute client value propositions, segmentation, and channel strategies to strengthen Citi's competitive position in the securities financing market. • Partner with Change Management and Operational Excellence teams to ensure new products and processes are effectively adopted across all impacted user groups. • Manage a team of product professionals, setting clear goals, providing direction, and maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes and individual performance. Required Qualifications & Skills • 6–10 years of experience in product management or product development within financial services, capital markets, or a related field. • Working knowledge of the securities financing ecosystem or related capital markets products, with the ability to apply that knowledge to real product challenges. • Demonstrated experience leading digital product development from concept to delivery, including ownership of roadmap, backlog, and stakeholder alignment across global teams. • Hands-on experience developing and applying AI and Machine Learning solutions to address real business problems and measurable outcomes. • Ability to apply design thinking principles to complex product challenges, delivering human-centered solutions that balance strategic vision with operational detail. • Strong ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly to change, and deliver results in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Beneficial Skills & Qualifications • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, Technology, or Data Science. • Experience managing cross-functional or global teams, with the ability to align stakeholders across different business units and geographies. • Functional background in marketing, credit, acquisitions, or analytics within a financial services context. • Demonstrated experience optimizing operational workflows and applying continuous improvement methodologies to product and process delivery. What We Offer Joining Citi's Securities Finance team means being part of a global network of professionals working on products that matter to institutional clients worldwide. You will have the autonomy to lead, the resources to innovate, and the reach of a truly global organization behind every decision you make. • A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, giving you flexibility without sacrificing collaboration. • Strategic ownership over high-visibility products that directly shape the client experience for one of the world's most recognized financial institutions. • Access to global networks and cross-functional teams across Trading, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Finance, enabling broad professional exposure at a senior level. • A performance-driven environment where your decisions carry real weight and your impact on product outcomes is clearly recognized. • Ongoing learning and development opportunities, including access to emerging technologies in AI and data, supporting your continued growth as a product leader. • Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including financial wellbeing, wellbeing support, and family-friendly provisions tailored to your location.
