Job description

Who we are: Persimmons is building the infrastructure that will power the next decade of AI. Founded in 2023 by veteran technologists from the worlds of semiconductors, AI systems, and software innovation, We're on a mission to enable smarter devices, more sustainable data centers, and entirely new applications the world hasn't imagined yet. Why join us: We're growing fast and looking for bold thinkers, builders, and curious problem-solvers who want to push the limits of AI hardware and software. If you're ready to join a world-class team and play a critical role in making a global impact - we want to talk to you. What you'll do: As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving Persimmons' chip and systems programs from kickoff to delivery, keeping hardware, software, and every cross-functional team aligned and on schedule. Your primary duties and responsibilities include: • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex engineering programs spanning silicon design, firmware, and software, tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path from kickoff through tape-out and launch. • Drive cross-functional coordination across hardware, software, validation, and manufacturing teams, resolving blockers fast and keeping every workstream pointed at the same deadline. • Manage program risk by spotting issues early, building mitigation plans, and escalating the right decisions to the right people before they turn into fire drills. • Build and maintain program schedules and dashboards that give engineering leadership a clear, real-time view of status, dependencies, and resourcing. • Partner with external vendors, foundry partners, and contract manufacturers to keep fabrication, assembly, and test schedules on track. • Communicate program health, risks, and key decisions to engineering leadership through clear, concise updates that cut straight to what matters. • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. • Proven Experience: 3-6 years of experience as a technical program or project manager driving complex engineering programs, ideally spanning both hardware and software delivery. • Specialized Expertise: Working knowledge of the semiconductor development lifecycle, from architecture and design through verification, tape-out, and bring-up, along with a feel for how software and firmware teams integrate around silicon. • Technical Mastery: Fluency with program management tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or Asana, and the ability to read a schedule, a risk register, and a technical spec with equal confidence. • Execution Mindset: A track record of keeping cross-functional teams aligned, unblocking engineers, and shipping on time without cutting corners on quality. • Competitive salary and benefits package • Flexible PTO • 401k Please note: Our organization does not accept unsolicited candidate submissions from external recruiters or agencies. Any such submissions, regardless of form (including but not limited to email, direct messaging, or social media), shall be deemed voluntary and shall not create any express or implied obligation on the part of the organization to pay any fees, commissions, or other compensation.
