About the Role
We’re looking for a Sr. Events Manager to build our events program from scratch and run it end to end. You’ll plan and execute a variety of events (third-party conferences, field activations, an executive dinner series, and other gatherings for customers, prospects, and partners) to build engagement, brand awareness, and trust with the businesses we serve.
You’ll help decide where and how Finix shows up in person, then own the details that turn each event into relationships and pipeline.
Your Team:
You’ll report to the Head of Brand Marketing and work cross-departmentally with Sales, Marketing, and Creative.
What you'll do:
Shape Finix’s events strategy with Marketing, Sales, and leadership, then turn it into an annual calendar and budget
Build the program’s foundations from scratch, including planning processes, templates, on-site playbooks, a trusted vendor roster, and tools for registration and tracking
Plan and execute field activations around major conferences and in key markets, such as hosted receptions, happy hours, side events, and VIP experiences
Launch and grow an executive dinner series, plus roundtables and other small gatherings for customers, prospects, and partners
Own logistics end-to-end for every event: venues, vendor negotiations, registration, guest communications, on-site execution, and safety, accessibility, and contingency planning
Curate guest lists and manage invitations with Sales and leadership, brief everyone before each event, and make sure attendee data and follow-up land cleanly in our CRM
Track budgets and spending, process invoices, and complete financial reconciliation
Measure event ROI, from attendance and feedback to meetings and pipeline, and develop and implement feedback loops that help us learn and improve with every event
What you bring:
5+ years in event marketing, field marketing, or event management, ideally in B2B
Proven experience planning and executing events end-to-end, from intimate executive dinners to third-party conferences and field activations
Experience building or scaling an events program, and the judgment to create structure where none exists yet
A track record of partnering with Sales to drive meetings and pipeline, and of measuring what events deliver
A strong sense of hospitality and calm under pressure, whether you’re finalizing a run of show or solving a problem on-site
Comfort managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and multiple concurrent events without dropping details
Working knowledge of event registration tools and CRM or marketing automation systems
Willingness to travel regularly for conferences and field events
What would make us excited:
Experience in fintech, payments, or at a hyper-growth B2B SaaS company
Experience as an early or first events hire at a growing company
An existing network within the payments, fintech, AI, and tech industries
Relationships with venues, caterers, and production partners in key markets
Comfort presenting to and coordinating with senior executives and sales leadership
