Job description

WHO WE ARE Sapien is the engine behind the world’s most important companies. We build agents that learn how a business works from its financial and operational data: its language, operations, and economics. That understanding helps people find opportunities, make better decisions, and act. We work with complex businesses, from manufacturers and restaurant groups to the Fortune 500. Teams at companies including Bayer, Cooper Standard, Blink Charging, Carlex, and Odeko use Sapien to understand their businesses and improve how they run. Our ambition is to build the self-optimizing company by making its people and systems dramatically more capable. We’re headquartered by Madison Square Park in NYC, with $15M+ raised and backing from General Catalyst, Neo, and operators from OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Ramp, and Stripe. We’re bringing together AI researchers, engineers, and operators to build intelligence for the people who build everything else. THE ROLE We’re hiring an Account Executive to own deals end-to-end and help scale Sapien’s revenue. You’ll work with finance, operations, and analytics leaders to understand how their businesses run, identify where better intelligence can create value, and turn that opportunity into a customer relationship. You’ll run full-cycle sales from discovery and demos through pilots, negotiations, and close. Working directly with the executive team, you’ll help sharpen our narrative, pricing, packaging, and sales playbooks as we build a repeatable enterprise sales motion. WHAT YOU'LL DO SALES EXECUTION - Own the full sales cycle from first meeting through close. - Run discovery, demos, pilots, and commercial conversations with finance, operations, and analytics leaders. - Manage pipeline and forecast revenue. You own deals and revenue outcomes. GTM & SALES MOTION - Help define Sapien’s sales process, pricing, packaging, and sales materials. - Partner with founders on positioning, messaging, and narrative. - Work with pipeline generation efforts (outbound, events, content) to ensure strong pipeline quality and conversion. CUSTOMER & MARKET INSIGHT - Develop deep expertise in financial, operational, and analytics workflows and the modern finance tech stack. - Feed structured market insight back to engineering, product, and leadership (what's resonating, objections, pricing feedback, and product gaps). - Help turn early customers into references, case studies, and expansion opportunities WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - Prior selling experience. 2–5+ years in Enterprise / MM selling roles. Strong ability to own deal cycles end-to-end and lay process foundations for GTM. - Strong in front of customers. Experienced in selling in complex/technical selling motions. Ability to own a room and sell directly to leadership teams. - You build systems, not just deliverables. When you solve a problem, you make sure it stays solved. You leave behind processes, not just outputs. - AI-native. You use AI tools every day. You pick up new tech faster than anyone around you and you can't help but show others how to use it too. - High agency. You don't wait for a brief. You figure out what needs to happen and you go do it, with attention to detail that holds up under scrutiny. HOW YOU WORK (VALUES WE CARE ABOUT) - AI-native. You’re energized by applying AI to transform how businesses run. - Ambiguity-shaping. You turn nebulous problems into a first pass and drive to resolution. - Extreme ownership. You identify what’s next—and do it. If you say it, it gets done. - Speed & hustle. You bias to action and move with urgency without sacrificing quality.
