Job description

ABOUT US Our mission at Credal is to harness frontier AI for everyone building a better future. We accelerate the most complex, sophisticated operations of the most impactful institutions, while weaving security and governance into every part of our product. Our customers include the U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services, MongoDB, Comcast NBC Universal, Lattice, Wise (Transferwise), Checkr, and incident.io among others. We’ve raised over $10m to date with a ton of runway. You’ll join a team of Thoughtful Doers™ from places like Palantir, Cruise, Meta, Uber, and Google. 📍 Credal is in-person in our spacious NYC office maps.app.goo.gl with meals provided. As our Founding BDR, you are the tip of the spear for Credal’s growth. You'll be starting meaningful conversations with technical leaders, security teams, and executives at the world's most important institutions. You’ll help open doors for the sales team and shape how we engage potential clients, starting from first touches like cold calls and personalized emails. As the first BDR, you’ll collaborate with marketing, growth, and partnerships, learn quickly, and have a clear path to expand into full-cycle sales or other roles. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Help shape our first-touch strategy, from crisp, personalized emails and warm introductions to thoughtful cold outreach and creative campaigns - Build the outbound playbook, working directly with our GTM and leadership team to figure out what messaging resonates, which channels work, and how we scale what works - Hold high-signal initial conversations, understand a prospect's pain points, and seamlessly bridge them to the rest of our team - Share real-time market feedback directly with our engineering and marketing teams to refine our narrative and product roadmap - As our first BDR, you'll have a clear, direct path to expand into an Account Executive, Growth, or customer-facing leadership role as the company scales ABOUT YOU You might be a great fit if you're a high-ownership, naturally curious builder who loves the challenge of opening doors and starting hard conversations. Who you are: - You have high agency and bias toward action. You don't wait for a playbook or a list of leads. You build hypotheses, test new outreach angles, and refine your approach every day. - You write with clarity, empathy, and conciseness. You know how to capture the attention of a busy executive or engineer in three sentences without sounding like a template. - You're deeply curious about technology. You don't need to be an engineer, but you love learning how modern tech works and can confidently discuss complex AI and security ideas. - You're resilient and competitive. Rejection doesn't slow you down. - You have commercial instincts. You understand what makes enterprise organizations tick, how decisions get made, and how to spot buying intent. Bonus points: - Prior experience in a BDR/SDR, growth, or outbound role at an early-stage or developer-focused startup. - Familiarity with the modern AI or developer tools landscape. Benefits and work environment - Opportunity to take ownership and accountability of major mission, business and technical outcomes from day one. Exercise your full capacity to create positive change in the world, rather than waiting for permission to advance to slightly less boring tickets or tasks. - High quality health coverage, including great mental health benefits, for you and your immediate family. This includes comprehensive and HSA options. - Industry-leading vision, dental, life, disability coverage. - Regular team activities & offsite events (last year we went to Turks and Caicos for a hackathon week!) - Unlimited PTO - and unlike some other companies, we're serious about you taking the time you need to recharge and be the best you can be! We also offer a guaranteed two weeks off during the last two weeks of December when the entire company goes on vacation! - A generous housing subsidy for those who choose to live close to the office. Interview process - Intro conversation with our leadership team (CEO, COO, CTO depending on the role). - Virtual screen. - Onsite to meet our team and CEO. - References (we check references on everyone at Credal to make sure all your future coworkers are world class and great to be around). More about us We’ve built the industry’s highest ceiling and most secure Action & Agent building platform for sticky, custom AI workflows. Use cases span countless domains, including: KYC, anti-money laundering, healthcare regulation, climate standards setting, cybersecurity, sales, people, IT, and customer support. - Cultural principles coda.io - Team credal.ai of 13 with 9 engineers. - 7-figure ARR. - >100% NRR. - Product docs docs.credal.ai, case studies credal.ai, blog credal.ai, podcast credal.ai
