Job description
As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.
Why Join Q2?
Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology—and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.
What Makes Q2 Special?
Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways through our year-round Q2 ChangeMakers awards program and global moments of recognition and connection. We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun and giving back together. From company-wide volunteer days to events like our Q2 Homecoming Week—featuring learning, community service, and culture-building experiences—we create opportunities to connect, grow, and make an impact.
Our Team
The Fraud Intelligence team at Q2 is responsible for helping our customers take a proactive stance against fraud and managing the risks of their business. We build and enhance products that evolve with the ever-changing fraud landscape, delivering tangible value for our customers. Our solutions enable them to focus more of their time and energy on their mission: best serving their customers and communities.
The Role
As a Data Analyst on the team, you will develop a deep understanding of our customers and the fraud challenges they face. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Fraud Response partners, you will identify and help close gaps in our fraud products. This is a dynamic role, sitting at the cross-section of our customers, the business, and product development. You’ll be responsible for tracking trends in our fraud cases and advising prioritization in product enhancements. Then, you’ll take the next step and work with our internal tooling and engineering teams to build the needed protection for our customers.
You are more likely to excel in the role if you:
● Enjoy autonomy in your work and feel a sense of ownership in the team’s goals. You work quickly but with the big picture in mind.
● Have empathy for end users and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and product quality.
● Have enthusiasm for the field and professional development.
Requirements
● 5 years of experience as an analyst (or similar)
● Experience using AI tools in your work
● Statistical background and ability to draw sound conclusions from complex data
● Familiarity with data visualization tools
● Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate findings with technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus Points
● Experience with python, SQL, or other programming languages
● Experience communicating with customers
● Familiarity with the financial industry, banking, and fraud prevention products
