About Us
At Gifthealth, we're revolutionizing the way people experience healthcare by simplifying the process of managing prescriptions and health services. Our mission is to provide a seamless, personalized, and efficient healthcare experience for all our customers. We're a dynamic, innovative, and customer-centric company dedicated to making a positive impact on people's lives.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Staff Content Designer, Patient Experience to own how Gifthealth sounds to patients, and build the system that keeps it consistent as we scale. This position plays a key role in supporting the Patient Experience function within the product department reporting to the Sr. Director of Digital Experience, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.Gifthealth powers the patient experience behind specialty pharmacy programs, and every text, email, checkout screen, and support call is a moment where patients decide whether they trust us.This is a hands-on role at the start and a systems role over time. You will write the foundation yourself, stay close to our highest-stakes patient moments, and equip the rest of the company to communicate well without routing everything through you.
Key Responsibilities
• Patient voice and tone: define a distinct Gifthealth voice for in-product and patient communications, separate from our marketing voice, and make it practical enough to use in checkout, portal, and notification contexts.
• Consistency across touchpoints: align SMS, email, the web app, website FAQs, and voice AI agent scripts so patients experience one coherent Gifthealth.
• AI-enabled content operations: design and maintain a Claude skill and supporting guidelines that let product, design, and ops teams generate and edit on-voice copy themselves. You will decide what "good" looks like, test it, and keep improving it.
• Client and partner collaboration: work with white-label clients and their brand and legal teams on requested wording. You will know when to hold the line, when to flex, and how to propose alternatives that meet their needs without sacrificing clarity or length.
How the Work Gets DoneYour first 90 days: you write. You will personally draft the voice and tone foundation, the core message templates, and the "gold standard" examples that train our Claude skill. You will also rewrite our most important patient flows, such as checkout and onboarding, and audit existing SMS, email, and FAQ content to set priorities.
Ongoing: you write where judgment matters most. You will stay hands-on for sensitive patient moments (cost, delays, adherence, side effects), voice AI scripts, and any client-negotiated wording. Everything else is written by product, design, and ops teams using the system you build.
Review without gatekeeping: you will define a tiered review model: low-risk copy ships on-voice without your review, medium-risk gets a quick async check, and high-risk copy gets your direct involvement.
What success looks like: within 6 to 12 months, most patient-facing copy ships on-voice without your direct involvement, and the pieces that do need you are the ones where your judgment makes the biggest difference.

• Experience : 6-8 years of experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy for a product, ideally in healthcare, wellness, or another regulated space (Noom-style environments are a great signal). Specific years of experience were not specified in the source job description.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : • A portfolio showing a voice or content system you built, not just copy you wrote.
• Comfort with compliance and legal review, and a track record of respectfully pushing back and landing on better wording.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to scale content work, and a point of view on where they help and where they fail.
• Ability to influence without authority across product, design, legal, and client teams.
• Demonstrated application of the above Qualification
Work Environment
• Location : Not specified in the source job description; to be confirmed with the hiring manager.
• Schedule : Full-time; standard business hours.
• May require flexibility for sensitive patient-moment copy, client-negotiated wording, and voice AI script reviews.
• Regular collaboration with product, design, ops, compliance, legal, and white-label client teams to ensure alignment.
Key Essential Functions
